Mmmm ![]()
Fruit loops ![]()
Anything with chocolate, especially cakes or ice cream XD
Also bacalaitos. Super fried, hard to call them “fish” at that point, so delicious
omg! My childhood!
Can’t get them in Japan, so my mom used to order them so that I could experience “an American childhood” or so she said. I love Lucky Charms and oh, Frosted Mini Wheats are my favorite.
I looked it up. Those do look good.
Do you eat them with a sauce or something?
I haven’t tried them with a sauce often, but Id bet they would go well with one ![]()
Maybe mayoketchup or a tomato-based one
oh, interesting, tomato-based, huh?
I was thinking maybe Tartar sauce or go simple and use lemon
Now I’m getting hungry XD
You know, both are good to try out sometime! I’ll keep it in mind next time I get some
Because I made a deep dive on Writer’s Digest, and it’s my first deep dive, and it ended up being 2 hours, but it’s full of interesting stuff, and I think I did pretty well for my first time ![]()
Alright, goodnight guys!
I’ll have to check it out this evening, then! Thanks for sharing!
Topic: What are your thoughts on Penguin Random House?
I know a few of their scandals, but not all the news. Why am I asking? Well…I think I might do a historical deep dive into PRH. About the scandals…it might end up being a separate video.
At least I don’t have to dig for their founder like Writer’s Digest. They have a nice timeline on their website.
Anyway, let me know your thoughts on PRH as a writer or reader or both if you have anything ![]()
As for me, I see them as one of the problems that resulted in the end of Figment.
My feelings are mixed, especially since they seem to keep wavering in their stance on AI. It was definitely a good thing they weren’t allowed to merge with Simon & Schuster. (♯^.^ღ)
I also resent the fact that they’re the single most successful publisher on Earth and have a massive marketing budget, yet they won’t promote most of the books they publish–they leave that to the writers. They only promote the ones they predict will take off. But if they promoted all of them, they’d likely all take off. Greedy fools. (ノ_<、)ヾ(´▽`)
Apart from those things, my mind’s wide open! (>‿◠)![]()
The only thing I care to know about them is that they introduced paperbacks to as an alternative to smoking on trains. A paperback costs less than a pack of cigs
(Hmm I dunno the validity of that actually)
Also I like the vintage/ mid-century classics selection. I want the Virginia Woolf & Iris Murdoch series.
I’m not privy to any scandals ![]()
Yesh, I do like their branded book covers! (˘ᴗ˘ღ)
Right?! They look really good on the shelf
I think it’s dangerous when one single company takes on that lead role like that. Without competitors, they could get scummy ![]()
Honestly, I don’t keep up with their news so don’t have an opinion ![]()
Topic: Tell me about one of your weird dreams
Mine is probably that one about me being chased by an alpaca in the rain around construction cones in a parking lot. I’m sad and saying, “I just want to be your friend!
” Then I run to my big sister and she comforts me. I’m an only child in real life…but hold on, why was an alpaca chasing me in the rain???
But my weirdest one…probably the bloated skin blob people. I won’t get into it. It was disgusting rather than scary.
Haven’t had a weird dream in a while, so I can’t remember any, although I know I’ve had them. Lately I’ve been having a lot of dreams about gathering pets together in an emergency. Puppies and kittens I can understand, but why did I dream about ducklings? I just hope these dreams aren’t any kind of forewarning… ヽ(゚Д゚)ノ
Watch me dream about alpacas tonight. ☜(ˆ▿ˆc)
I once had a dream about getting married to my best friend. We were on a yacht and our families were there. I remember my suit was apparently very expensive and it could change colour from burgundy to tan to black. It was lowkey cute but very weird… because we used to date years ago ![]()
I would never consider getting married to him lmao he’s a nutcase. Was my subconscious trying to tell me something? It’s weird. I shudder just thinking about it.
