And you probably noticed my other threads are…well, they’re on hold as well. I just have been editing all day, every single day for like the past month and these last few weeks have been especially brutal because well, life threw me some lemons.

Topic: Do you have/believe in/ want a spirit animal?

I got talking with a writer on IG about dreams and they talked about meeting their spirit animal. They said what they thought was their spirit animal wasn’t and was a completely different animal. They had recurring dreams with this animal.

I told them I always was a cat person, and foxes weren’t even really my thing at all until one day, it just came into my life. But they said “personal desires” didn’t count as your spirit animal. Just because I grew to like foxes doesn’t make it my spirit animal. They said spirit animals come in dreams or visions. I asked them if they dream about animals and they said “no” they don’t usually dream about animals. Just their spirit animal in a recurring dream.

So, it got me seriously thinking about how one might find their spirit animal because for me, being a well-known-in-my-family lover of cats, foxes were out of the blue. I was never interested in them until one day, just suddenly, I decided to revisit a fox character I created once (he name was Fox  ). It really came out of the blue and then I kept returning to this fox character and then foxes in general.

Could that not be considered as how I might have found my spirit animal? Not a dream or a vision, but I just came across it and it stuck in my life? Apparently, in terms of personality or how I act around family in general, they see me as a cat if I was an animal :stuck_out_tongue: So, it would be more natural for my spirit animal to be a cat, I suppose, but what if it’s a fox?

Do I want it to be a fox or a cat? Personally, I don’t actually believe in spirit animals, but I think it’s fun for conversation. I don’t really care if I have one or not. But, I did wonder if my “fate” with foxes could somehow be some kind of…thing, you know?

Any thoughts on your end? What about you?

I don’t believe in them either, and had never even heard of such a thing until this one Star Trek episode. According to that episode you can’t choose a spirit animal, it has to choose you, so there’s no telling what my spirit animal might be. I’m guessing it wouldn’t be anything cool then like a cat or a fox. It would be something smelly, stupid and embarrassing, I’m guessing…my luck is like that. ¯\_(ﭢ)_/¯

The first thing I thought of when I saw “spirit animal” was a book series-

And what book series would that be?

Lol, didn’t expect to see Star Trek come up

What was that Star Trek episode about? Spirit animals or something else?

it’s actually called Spirit Animals-

Nope, the episode was about something totally different, but I can’t remember just what right now. The stuff about the spirit animal was really just a few minutes of filler between disasters, but I can’t remember what the main plot was. Here’s a little skinny on it, though:

Topic: Favorite bread spread?

I would just eat fig jam on its own if I got the chance  But I do also like to put it on bread

I like the combination of honey and butter on warm toast :yum: Maybe I’ll have some of that…feeling hungry

I also like liver pate on one of those crunchy breads used for bruschetta

Can’t go wrong with good old peanut butter. I like the ones that don’t have peanut bits in them. I liked whipped peanut butter. It’s fluffy and not so sweet.

Try saying “bread spread bed spread” three times fast XD

Ooooh, all of those sound good to me! ლ ლ (˘ᵋ ˘ )

On white bread I love good old peanut butter and marshmallow creme. On pita I love hummus. Omg now I’m hungry! ヽ(^。^)丿

Crunchy peanut butter is the best! I get mine from a local farm shop. It’s homemade and so good.

I’m also partial to a good berry jam. Strawberry, raspberry, blueberry — and boysenberry but I can never find any >:( I like apricot jam too. And orange marmalade. There’s always some kinda jam in my pantry.

And Marmite! I bought five jars of Elton John Marmite over the holidays lool love it.

Gonna give the most cliche Aussie answer, but that would be vegemite for me :joy: Alternatively, sprinkles are good too

But for naan it would be garlic oil and for roti it would be peanut butter-based satay sauce :yum:

Peanut butter and jelly, peanut butter and butter, jelly and butter, egg salad or tuna salad, and there was also a bean paste I had at one point that I really liked.

For some reason that reminds me of this:
