…and that’s how it goes
It’s a nice way to finish up a sentence
I remembered just now, I say, “and that sort of situation”. My go-to word for things is now “situation”. Whatever it is, it’s a situation XD

I’m wondering if this is aimed at pets I feel like I’ve heard a lot of people use this toward their pets
Everything is a situation! I like that, too.
Topic: This is a thought about YouTube for me
@Qualeshia12 made me think about my own channel
I started a YouTube channel to react to writing advice articles like heck because no one else is doing it. I can’t find any, anyway. Idk if people like it, but I hope they find it helpful.
I had the thought, how long will I continue this?
Until the love runs out (OneRepublic song, Love Runs Out. I love that song.)
The good advice is often on the minor websites, because the bigger places do quantity over quality. I have my work cut out for me It’s so nice to find minor websites that I can go back to for my own writing.
Also, definitely want to do writing-related deep dives. There are ZERO on YouTube as far as I can tell. Deep dives take time, but they are worth it. I love going down rabbit holes already, anyway
Topic: What is a random fact you recently learned?
The Kentucky Derby in Churchill Down is the biggest derby and it started in 1875.
That’s a coincidink–I recently read Hunter Thompson’s essay on it, probably on the day of the race a couple weeks ago, but the only thing I learned was that he really was as depraved as they say. Oh! I also learned that Goodreads has it listed as a book, so I was able to apply it toward my 2025 Goodreads Challenge. So now I’ve read 71 out of 100 books for the year. Huzzah! ٩(˘◡˘)۶
One other thing, I suppose. I also learned that Peabody and Sherman’s account of the history of Churchill Downs was notably false. Oh, the horror! (⊙.⊙(-̶●̃ₒ●̶̃)⊙.⊙)
Roger Craig Smith (voices Ezio, Sonic the Hedgehog, plus many others) has been the narrator for Say Yes to the Dress for a long time (since 2007)
As a bonus fact, peccaries are animals that look like pigs, but are actually in a different family!
(Peccaries are in the Tayassuidae family; pigs, boars, and warthogs are in Suidae)
I haven’t gone that deep, so idk anything about that stuff XD Just basic history from a documentary made in 1994 and a little bit about the triple crown and then watched a separate doc on Seabiscuit, because I knew about him from the Porky Pig cartoon.
But wow, what a coinkidink XD (who knows how to spell that lol)
Sounds like you could make your goal before the end of the year
huh, maybe that’s why the business insider video on the race came up in my recommends. I watch business insider already, so things probably just matched up
I heard it started in 1875 and thought, hey, I could use it as inspiration for my story
Thought it would be fun to have two characters mention derby day. Not any particular derby though.
The concept of the big bang may have been disproven
I’ve heard theories about that here and there but not in detail
Is there anything in particular you remember about what people have said?
Well, now that one of the leading theories is that the universe is in a black hole because the universe seems to have the same/similar rotation as the accretion disk around the black hole, it’s though that something like a singularity may have been the starting point that, for some reason, caused what we call the “big bang” in the first place. So the big bang wasn’t actually the starting point, it was just the start of what creatures made of the same matter can comprehend at this point in time (something which may have also been disproven)
Well that’s a twisty new theory I gotta get my mind around Space is cool, isn’t it?
Update: I’ll be gone for 5 days
Wedding.
Trip.
See ya later.
Yup
Topic: Non-digital art projects
Oh hi guys. How’s it going? I’m kind of back.
So, I’ve been making a collage background for bookstagram. Waiting on a few more supplies to arrive tomorrow, but attempts 1, 2, and 3 are done. I have to figure out a color scheme for the next batch. I really want to see if I could make some kind of velcro book situation. Print out little book covers and put velcro on them and then be able to change the book covers on the background whenever I feel like it.
That would be cool, wouldn’t it?
Anyway, it’s been nice to just do arts and crafts without worrying about being perfect or answering to the masses.
What’s the last non-digital art project you’ve done?
Welcome back-ish! ʕ•́ᴥ•̀ʔっ
That velcro book cover idea sounds interesting–hope you’re going to post pix when you’re finished. ヽ(^。^)丿
I’m kinda hesitant about posting pictures online anymore due to the possibility of AI glomming it, but these aren’t that great. I haven’t drawn in a looooong time thanks to this stupid wip, so I had to go through my folders and see what the last thing was I ever drew. Looks like it’s these practice drawings for a webcomic I want to post on my blog about the jazz age, all drawn in art deco style. In my head it looks so good, but I just don’t feel like doing the work. Argh.
These are just pencil and marker.
I have a physical sketchbook that I use to practice in. I don’t post it anywhere for that reason.
