I also do nothing unless I see something absolutely ridiculous, then I take a screenshot to show on my IG story later. But other than that, I just read.
I will never mark my books either

Journaling and Annotating sounds like more work, for me. Less likely to happen.
Understandable! I feel the same!
I always found the comeback is that when people do that, itâs because they bought them so they can do whatever they want, to be a bit of a contradiction.
In truth they can do whatever they want, yet at the same time why would you even want to do that just because you can do whatever you want.
Who can say?
They can do whatever they want, but they can no longer sell it if they wanted to, if they mark it up. That is, if itâs permanent. Even if itâs not permanent, sometimes bad quality sticky notes can leaves the stickiness behind
Personally, I donât want to do anything to my book pages
It might depend on where they sell the book or who they sell it to. Though youâre right about that.
Thank goodness for libraries, am I right?
I scribble, write, underline, parenthesise, and doodle all over my books. With a light pencil of course. Itâs a habit I picked up from undergrad.
I used be very precious with my books as a kid because I didnât have very much. Now I feel a book is more precious the more marginalia it has.
I donât have an aesthetic reading journal like the ones on YouTube. Donât have the patience or time for all that.
It is great you utilize what youâve learned in school to help you with enjoying fiction.
There are people who just go with writing, not aesthetics needed. I wouldnât have time for that either.
