Be honest, how did the year 2025 go for you?

To be honest, it was a big year for me and its almost dizzying thinking back on the many, many things that happened :joy:

I feel happy and proud with my overall accomplishments though

(mentally i’m still stuck in 2019, the years after that have been a blur to say the least)

up-and-down, but it’s well-balanced, i think! the down is mostly for my:

  • academics (uni life is so different to school and adjusting is a whole thing, especially with the amount of content there is and having to actively know it as opposed to basic memorising, especially when it’s prerequisite courses that just. keep. carrying. on for every semester of my degree).
  • social life, which can be credited to both a lack of self-transportation and my faculty. my uni doesn’t provide on-campus accomodation (it’s in the plans for after i leave unforch (ಥ﹏ಥ) which doesn’t serve me) so having transport of your own is crucial. i have a hostel shuttle, but the guy is … hmmm. i used to take the uni bus before i moved places, which i loved, but my new place is nestled by the highway and the bus doesn’t come up there so yeah.

as for the ups:

  • got into two critical leadership roles (club chairperson and member of the student development committee)
  • started volunteering
  • built good rapport with a handful of lecturers (and i know a bunch, it’s rare in my current setting so i’m happy)

That a lot to juggle so it makes total sense you’re feeling the weight of it uni really is a different beast.
But those leadership roles volunteering and lecturer rapport are huge wins and speak volumes about how well you’re actually doing.
