Then try ditching the outline and do discovery writing (Stephen King style).
No outline, just write what comes to you.
Don’t be afraid to sit in boredom, even Newton was chilling under a tree before conceptualizing gravity.

Thanks for the tips! I’m currently trying to figure out how to do that with a fully outlined book. Any tips would be helpful!
Hmm. I usually need to write the story in order but i could try that… hm ok. I’ll see what I can do.

You will still write it in order. Just begin with dialogue

Deviate from the outline? That’s what I sometimes do and the book gets better for it.
