CHAOS

Wow. You can tell her I’ll put a curse on her.

Nice! Let’s hope the surgery to injury pipeline ends here.

Just do it regardless. it’ll probably work :joy:

I’m getting sick too :sob: I have to get my meds from the pharmacy… I’ve been trying for THREE WEEKS now and I can’t

I’ll turn her into a newt (she’ll get better).

Try temporarily transitioning into a man and then approach them. They may cave in earlier.

(Would be cool if that was an IRL superpower.)

 that would do it lol

No, unfortunately it’s not them, it’s my executive dysfunction  I just keep forgetting

Oh.

Next time, focus on remembering not to forget.

Or better yet, give me some of your forgetting power. I need it desperately, as I still remember stuff I said 20 years ago.

Here :sparkles:

May entropy scramble your memory beyond human comprehension! :innocent:

I still remember. Oof.

I wonder how long my eidetic memory will last. Will there come a time when I know so much that I start forgetting my past? That’s a concept that genuinely horrifies me, because if I don’t remember what I said that one day when I was 5 years old, did I even exist back then?

 memory doesn’t work that way.

It doesn’t, then how does it work?

I genuinely don’t know because that’s how my memory has always been. People keep telling me “I don’t remember that, how do you remember these things?”, but it’s weird to me that people forget, because I can replay them in my brain at will.

How does forgetting work? Is it:

  • After a certain point, your brain is full and then you start having short term memory loss, so you forget what happened ten minutes ago?
  • After a certain point, your brain is full and then you start forgetting things that happened in the past, but forget everything? So like if your memory capacity is 150 years and you gained sentience at 4 years old, the moment you turn 156, you forget what you were like at age 5, but perfectly remember what you were like at Age 7?
  • After a certain point, your brain is full and then you start forgetting fragments from the past? So you remember being 5 but not what your childhood house looked like?

Mix of both. But it doesn’t have to be age, it’s just if your brain is stuffed full of info (at school, for example), then you don’t remember everything because your brain got overwhelmed and only remembered the parts it deemed interesting/important for survival.

Is it normal to be able to imagine a full scene that’s detailed enough to enable you to draw it out, at least to some extent? It doesn’t have to be 100% accurate, as long as you get the general layout of the benches and the colour of the walls accurately.

Like I remember this slide at my preschool, and it was blue. Do people remember that?

I do. I remember someone owing me 50 cents from when I was 12 :joy:

I also remember where everything in the house is stored, and even know where my gf’s bra is (despite her not knowing). But also I don’t remember where I put my phone 5 mins ago

Btw: I have a dissociative disorder, so I’m really not a good example. Amnesia is literally part of the job description with that shit. Also, being rly good at remembering random and useless info for the rest of your life is also in the description.

So might wanna ask someone w/o one too :joy:
