Also, pro tip: you don’t have to get FEMALE clothes, the clothes just have to LOOK feminine on you. So if you don’t fit into feminine jeans, don’t! Get ones that LOOK like they’re feminine but still fit you.

Victorians had very little issues with using optical illusions to create the image they wanted. so for example if you have a smaller, more boxy figure, you’re allowed to use shoulder padding/hip padding to create the hourglass figure. you also, of course, have a corset underneath all that to help you look cool. however, in the modern day, you’re just expected the manifest that… which is completely opposite to Victorians viewed bodies at all.
