Donโ€™t worry, youโ€™re not being annoying at all! And thank you for the comments :hugs:

Of course!

Also tbf I think this one might be my final favourite, because itโ€™s Spanish, and very chic :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth::face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth: Plus Iโ€™m hoping to find a different pose for every book, and the facing-forward-with-umbrella-stick seems to be very common :joy:

I havenโ€™t finished up the second cover yet, but in the meantime Iโ€™ve resized the first one for Inkitt

I hope Iโ€™m not jinxing myself I think this one will be done more quickly :joy:

By the way, when you mentioned a Venetian mask in your request, do you want it on the face or will you be fine with the silhouette holding it in her hand? Like Iโ€™m picturing those kinds of masks that have a stick attached to them so the silhouette could be holding that on the cover :eyes:

Like maybe one of these photos  personally the top-left and bottom images would be easier for me to edit in.

Oh, thank you, youโ€™re a doll! :two_hearts: Is it the same file in the original delivery post? So I can re-download it. Edit: I got it!

Sorry, I should have mentioned - Iโ€™m happy with just the silhouette and the Paris background :see_no_evil: The first one turned out so good - simple and elgant - I want all of them like that  just a girl and the big city. And the silhouette will tell a little bit the story of where sheโ€™s at, which is also why Iโ€™ve been trying to find different ones. Sorry, I should have clarified! Hopefully that makes it easier for you

Hereโ€™s the prototype! Iโ€™ll clean up the details and stuff later as usual :>

Oh sheโ€™s pretty :face_holding_back_tears::face_holding_back_tears: I wonder though if we can do something about her hand? in the fashion plate she was resting her elbow on, like, a wall or something, so without it the hand hangs a bit awkwardly.

Also I love the streetlight behind her but it kinda comes out of her hat  any chance you can move it to the right a little bit? If not you can just leave it there. It calls back a little bit to the streetlights in the previous one.

OH, or - maybe you can erase the streetlight and put a light on top of the tower? Here is a reference from its inauguration in 1889 (the Tower was painted red then, but by 1895 I think it wasnโ€™t anymore):

Hmm, I can try to alter her posture so that the hand is a bit straighter :eyes: it might take a while to get right but I think itโ€™s doable!

Iโ€™ll try! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I could try tinkering with the light coming from the Eiffel Tower too, except it would be a bit harder to do with this kind of style :face_with_spiral_eyes: Iโ€™ll experiment and see which one works better

Oh, thank you! Take your time  Whatever works!

It was just a random flash of inspiration I had haha. Again, whatever works for you! I do love a lil light in there, it makes it look moody and kinda noir-ish :sparkles:

Gosh, Iโ€™m looking at it again, and it really is pretty! :star_struck: I wish I could pay you real money :joy:

Aww, you really donโ€™t need to  Iโ€™m honored :face_holding_back_tears:

Fortunately for you, I donโ€™t accept monetary payment :relieved: the only tips I accept are extra comments on my books, but those are totally unnecessary (but highly appreciated)!

Iโ€™ll get started on the third cover next week. Iโ€™m thinking we could make it sepia-themed, especially since the original color of the Statue of Liberty was brownish due to the copper :eyes:

Listen, if you want to try to do something else in the meantime, you are more than welcome to :joy: This story is still in the concept phase. I feel like I have monopolised your time :face_holding_back_tears:

Ooh, that didnโ€™t cross my mind :eyes: I had put in a green-white colour scheme because the wedding dress fashion plate is mostly white with green decorations, but I think sepia could work great! Kinda like a wedding portrait :joy:

Oh itโ€™s totally fine, youโ€™re not monopolizing my time at all! Working on series covers is fun even if it is time-consuming :joy:

I mean, I could totally change the color of the dress :eyes: and apparently, the Statue of Liberty didnโ€™t fully change to green until the 1920s! :open_mouth:

Hmm, white dress on sepia or sepia-white color scheme?

All right, if youโ€™re sure :joy:

I dunno, whatever works, I suppose? This is the fashion plate. Already halfway to sepia lol. The only note I have about this one is that I love the veil over her face. You can barely see it in the drawing, but she is the covert Cat :joy: So I like that her face is covered. If thereโ€™s a way to make that a little clearer in the cover, that would be cool!

I will admit that Iโ€™m struggling to see the veil, but maybe thatโ€™s just my myopia :joy: Iโ€™ll try my best!

(I will say that I do find the little silhouette facing the opposite side a little more intriguing, though :eyes:)

Payment will be to read and comment on the next three chapters of Blood Will Tell, so thatโ€™d be VII, VIII, and IX. No rush! :hugs:

Yeahhhhh, you donโ€™t see it over her face, but if you look down to her hands, youโ€™ll see thatโ€™s where the line of the veil ends, so presumably it covers her face also :joy:

I do agree with this, though! Thatโ€™s supposed to be the back of the dress :face_with_hand_over_mouth: I suppose they had to get creative in a time when you couldnโ€™t click on a gazillion pictures on an online protal  Iโ€™m totally down with showing her from the back! But it might be more difficult, no?

Iโ€™ve tried to find more references but best I could do is this girl thatโ€™s facing away lol. Her dress is also super cute, I actually think I might like it more, but the veil over face won out  I trust your artistic instinct!

Hereโ€™s the prototype! It might take me longer to clean up the detailsโ€”for some reason Photoshop just decided to screw with my colors out of nowhere so until the issueโ€™s fixed, the polishing will have to wait :sob:

And here are some inspiration pics I used :eyes: the statue used to be a lighthouse too, hence the lights at the top.

Oh, Stella, you really are a star! :star2: I love it :face_holding_back_tears::face_holding_back_tears:

The only comment Iโ€™d have, if possible to make her hand a little less awkward? It looks like itโ€™s shooting spider webs

I love it a lot tho :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I can try :joy: after the issue I have with Photoshop gets fixed :sob:

I will be busy today, so the earliest Iโ€™ll get back to you will be tonight or Sunday

Absolutely no rush, take your time! I really love how you managed to get the lights in there, and the long, mysterious shadow behind her :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::eyes: so good! Oh and I feel like the silhouette works really well, too, better than the other one. Kinda like sheโ€™s about to walk into some trouble, which is exactly right
