I found a Notion Template to help me out with plotting and planning! It comes with easy instructions and information. So I will update the document shared, once I can!
I also made a brand new Wattpad profile to post the story of Sabree and Lorcan on there! Last night I inspired myself to keep going because I imagined I had a literary agent named Madeleine. Who was also a friend. I also imagined signing my book for fans, sitting at a booth. So, in order to realise that goal, I need to get planning!

Happy Monday! I didn’t make any progress this week, but that’s simply because we’ve been sick again. This whole ulcerative colitis thing sucks and it just seems like literally anything can happen to my body and everyone just says well it’s just a UC symptom. Sigh Oh well. Hopefully we will get caught back up on things. (I mean I’m most of the way there) But still fully getting into the swing of two kids. Hard when I keep getting such health related curve balls.

Notion is an app for PC and your phone for taking notes. You can use it as a second brain basically. I use it for all kinds of things. From keeping track of games I play, books I read, to planning my novel.

Help me decide once and for all!
I posted a topic regarding my story’s cover right here, and people left some much appreciated feedback.
Let me share the feedback with per cover. So you can help me decide. Please keep in mind, that Option 03 hasn’t received feedback yet. My notes will be in the blue shade I often put my titles in.
Person 01: “I like the first better… The Moon and the Tiara (if that is what it is) is much more fitting in size and shade. The Title also looks fitting in the tone overall with it’s moody shading…”
Person 01: “To be totally honest here… If I saw this cover on a bookshelf, I’d pick it up and take a read of the blurb… Even if it was not the type of tale I was looking for… The Look alone would have me reach for it. The simplicity is stunning, and I don’t really like overly colourful and detailed covers anyway, but this speaks of subtle class…”
Person 02: “The first one is a bit simple, but the way the words are at the bottom makes it pop in its own way. Showcasing the moon and tiara only works and brings in potential readers.”
Person 03: “(…) but I like the placement of the crown and I really prefer the typeface choices better in the first one.”
Person 03: “(…) Overall impression is that I like the first one better because it conveys the information better and that’s more important than the graphics for any design that has both text and images”
I really understand where these people are coming from. Sadly I haven’t saved the PSD file I was working in for this specific cover and don’t remember which PSD colouring/filter I used, nor do I remember the font I used. Which led me to create cover option 02.
Person 02: “The second one feels like there is too much going on and having the words in the moon makes it a bit hard to look at.”
Person 03: “I like the colour, added butterfly elements, and background beneath the moon and tiara better in the second one.”
Person 04: “In the second one it’s really difficult to read the title.”
Again, I can see where they’re coming from. I tried all the shiny metal styles in my “inventory” in Photoshop. I used butterflies because I heard somewhere they represent a new change, a new beginning. Since I didn’t like the way the butterflies looked without the sparkles, I added the sparkles. Which added some whimsical vibe to the cover. I decided to recreate the cover as best as I could, not realizing until I posted the third option, that I used a colour filter I had downloaded from DeviantArt.
This is the third and final option so far. While it doesn’t have the colour filter I tried finding the font, but couldn’t find it. I opted for the second best which was Optimus Princeps. I simply used picture editing options to gain the not so bright tiara/crown. I didn’t resize it either, but I like this overall black/white cover. Especially with the topics this story mentions: civil war, murder, poverty, crime, etc. It’s looking bleak for Sabree in the very beginning of the story. Until she meets Lorcan.
Hey! I’m not finding much excitement for editing TOM right now. Can we go with Project Alice for my first step back into things? I suddenly feel creative about that project. I’ll add chapter 2 to the document I shared with everyone and start back up on my readings.

I’m sorry that you lost the PSD file for the first option, but my views still stand. Option 1 is the more classy one, and suits the title well. You have the Moon and the Tiara/Crown that conveys the title visually also.

Hi! Hope everyone is doing well. It’s been a crazy week. I’ve been playing caregiver to a family member as well as working 2 jobs and I got absolutely zero done here. Hoping I can get some done this week and get back on track as we wrap the summer up.

I do like the 1st one as well, but the 3rd is very close to that. I think the 2nd is too much with the title in the moon- it’s not very easy to read. It feels a little too bright too.

I get that feeling I am struggling to redraft Wolf& hood because it seems to be taking a turn aka way more writing so have also been dabbling with my WIP’s. So if project Alice gives you the excites to writes go with it!! Send my way if you have not already!
