I’m glad to see some signs of life lol! I’ve been trying to keep an eye on it here while growing my writing group on discord. That one is so busy…over 35 people now I think. We had to break out into groups by genre. But I miss everyone here. Any idea when you’re going to query??

Oh I used to love discord! But could ever find one with romantasy. It’s all scifi haha. Did you start the server or join one?
I started one. had some interest on tiktok and I figured why not? i hated discord but then I joined a server from an aspiring author on youtube and hers was configured so that it wasn’t confusing to me. I think that was the problem in the other ones I’d been on. We do sprints there, critique, just chatting, running ideas past each other. it’s not the same as here, but there are a lot of writing resources shared there and I’m going to share some of the stuff when I start my MFA
Oh! I would love to join if there’s room! I don’t need a group, but I LOVE sprinting with others!

I’m still around. I check in quite often. My husband has just been home because he took about 2 weeks off for my birthday (Jan 14th) so we’ve been just off adventuring as a family. 
I’m missing the group big time!

JANUARY UPDATE 2025.
Hi I’m still here too! I just forget to check the group as much as I used to!
I’m sorry to everyone that count on me being here or being active, writing has been tough. But I’m planning on re-writing a fan fiction, and I’m looking for some active people in the fandom to discuss it with! (more below)
Also, it may happen this month or the next one… but my grandmother (Anita) on mom’s side has been living with cancer for 9 years, and it’s finally taking a toll on her body to the point she’s unable to fight it. She’s in Palliative Care inside the hospital near us, and mom goes to visit her whenever she can and make sure everything is sorted before grandma receives Euthanasia. Which she verbally (orally) requested and in written form. So, we should be good legally, but they’re still processing her request. Not many doctors here are eager to grand that request since 2 doctors here, got sentenced for murder. When all they did was grand a patient’s wish to get Euthanized.
Enough about that though!
ARMY OF THE DEAD.
As some of us, if not all of us, we all started our journey with writing in fan fiction.
I’m still writing fan fiction and after seeing the movie Army of The Dead (2021) by Zack Snyder, I have been writing a fan fiction about the cast (characters) and the story. Building on it and building on the story of the “first zombie” or Alpha. Named Zeus. His mate is named Athena by many fans due to the fact their home base was located in a casino called The Olympus.
Now, I created a story about a young woman who travels to quarantined Las Vegas and also the city that has been blocked off by containers, to keep the zombies inside.
This young woman has been part of the experiment, developing and taking notes on the participants, in creating a super soldier inside Area 51. Working under a guy named “Torrance”.
She gets fired and sent hush money when the experiment goes awry and the very first zombie is on route to be re-located. On their way through the Nevada desert, a newlywed couple collides with the convoy and “Zeus” breaks out. Going ham on Las Vegas. Creating his kingdom and subsequently finding his mate and expecting a child.
Technically this is a heist movie. But, it’s categorized under horror due to the … well zombies.
It has drama and action. The sequel, Army of Thieves came out after Army of the Dead and focused on one of the characters and how he got to Las Vegas. The sequel is focused on the Ring Cycle vaults inspired by Richard Wagner’s opera. With 3 vaults: Rheingold, the Siegfried, the Walkure (Valkyrie) and the Götterdämmerung. The latter appears in the first movie. So the prequel, technically, ties into the first movie.
I’m looking for people in this fandom who are still looking to experience the movies, watch the movies, read the fan fictions, etc. People that I can bounce ideas off of and share my plan for the fic. Even going as far as having some of them beta read the fic before posting to make sure it’s polished enough!
I know this group is mostly for original work, so I don’t know if any of you enjoyed both movies and would love to help me out. I also have no idea if there’s a Discord that would be helpful. I do plan on making my own (server) for the fandom, but I doubt people would still be interested in the fan fiction or fandom.

I have so been MIA. What’s the discord thing?
Okay I jinxed myself. My toddler gave me a sweet common cold about a week after my birthday. (conveinetly right after I finished my first period postpartum) and I’ve been in a miserable flare ever since I got sick! Leaving the couch other than to go to the bathroom 100 times has been the life for me in this house.

Things have settled on my end (for now) and my escapism was to write and read to no end. I started fifth draft (and I hope final one) of The White Forest, and I start another story, so far it’s going to be Junn - No title yet. I hope it will be a short story within 80 to 100k words max.
