Fictional planets and their ages/lifespan?

Whether your own story or someone else’s story or even in the real world, planets have ages and they have a certain lifespan that is longer or shorter than most.

I got this idea from @TheTigerWriter’s comment on her own planet’s age, which I learned is fairly young. In terms of age groups, Elgana would be a baby compared to our old ass planet Earth. LOL!

My planet Relkilia is WAY older than Earth by a lot and would be the great-grandparent to grandparent Earth and little baby Elgana.

I always wondered about famous planets in fiction and what their ages are and how long they live for.

So, I want to talk about it with you guys. Not just the planets in fiction but we can chat a bit about the ones in reality, yet I want to keep the focus on fictional planets.

Thoughts and feelings? This is going to be a fun topic!

Though the other planets in our solar system are way older than Earth, since even Earth is fairly young-ish.

Just how old is the question. LOL!

Elgana might be a baby, but it’s as advanced as Earth and a little more  Let’s say Elgana is smarter than Earth :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh boy this is a complicated one :joy:

The God Worlds were the first ones created in Creation so they’re the oldest. So old that no one actually knows how old they are but it’s known that they are almost thousands of billions of years old according to the calendar. But because the calendar is a relatively new invention, they’re so old that it’s hard to comprehend, even for the people that live there.

For all the other planets in Creation, the easiest explanation would be “time is relative” :joy:

Even in our world, the age of planets is . . . complicated. This is because our understanding of space, time and the universe is still very new and new things are being discovered, proven, disproven, etc. I mean, new planets have been discovered that are older than the current theorized age of the universe. But our knowledge is limited to our world and how we view things like time. Thus why my answer for the age of worlds/planets is “time is relative” :joy:

Very true.

Time works in mysterious way in the universe.

So, yeah, my planet is an odd one because it was originally a deity that was cursed to become a planet.

So, in terms of age, Relkilia is very old, but not too old.

I try not to go down the age of planets rabbit hole because it would confuse my readers way too much tbh :joy:

Yeah…that makes sense.
No confusing the readers, unless it’s worth it in the end! LOL!
