Wow…that is incredible.
Apparently, Wattpad can be somewhat limit-less (at least back then it seemed) and sometimes you need to think how much you’re willing to put into a story for a person. If they are your friend, then what level of friend and would they really be angry and hate you if you said no? Or, would they be a little disappointed but get on with their lives and still be your friend? Gotta think about things like that for situations like those.
I had a writer friend where we had different political stances. We didn’t talk about politics, but as the elections drew closer, it became clearer. I was still willing to be her writer friend. As long as we stayed away from personal stuff, we were fine. But then she ghosted me. I wasn’t at the same level of friend for her, as she was to me. I guess she couldn’t separate the political stuff. It was sad, but it was fine
Yeah, sadly personal things and controversial things tend to ruin friendships. Then one has to wonder if it was really a friendship if things like that cause friends to split apart.
Maybe it was for the best.
As for the friend in the scenario, I am sure just telling the friend the truth or simply I rather not read it, should be fine. Though as you stated, if that friend get bitter and angry over it, then that is not a friend you should have in your corner.
Because honestly, who would want to read an entire eleven million word story that isn’t broken down? This is one single book, mind you. And possibly still a rough/first-ish draft as well.
So, I wouldn’t blame someone for not wanting to read it.
Still wouldn’t read a story that long.
If it was broken down into a book series, how many books would the whole novel need to be broken down to in order to reach the large word count altogether?
Seriously, does anyone know?
I could be wrong, but I think the longest works agents will look at these days are like 100k words long. And that’s only in fantasy or sci-fi, where they expect high word counts. So this would have to be broken down into at least 110 books…? (♯^.^ღ)
My mind, it can’t comprehend that…
I’ve seen various book series with 40 or 50 books in them, but never as many as 100. (⊙.⊙(-̶●̃ₒ●̶̃)⊙.⊙)
For real.
Anyone who manages to write and publishes 110 books, HAS TO HAVE A CO-WRITER of some kind helping them out.
Whoa…I’m wrong. Here’s a page of the longest book series ever, and one of them is over 300 books. Argh. ヽ(゚Д゚)ノ
Over 300? I need to see when it first started. Was the person a little kid when writing it or was the person writing nonstop every day?
I seriously hope that it’s a group of people under one name? I don’t want to believe it and yet I want to at the same time.
Yup, evidently five different authors all wrote the series under one pen name, Maxwell Grant.
That’s even more confusing…
Hmm…
Imagine if this was a manga or webcomic, well that might be actually happening with a few already out, just not that exaggerated.
LOL!
