I'm having story troubles once again.

the way things are now is you are trying to flesh out and see if it fits at same time. and you can only do one or the other. based on our conversation I think fleshing out the idea interests you more than seeing if it fits. you only want to see if it fits so the first draft can be the final product is my guess I could be wrong.

No. I’m not trying to change that mindset. The way I see it in my head is close to the finished product…in a way.

I suppose so.

got it. is there a reason you see the first draft as the finished product?
is it perfectionism? back to that fear of failure thing? the project being boring after the first draft to work on?

Maybe it is perfectionism. Then again I don’t know.

i see. for you is the story like the vessel to put your ideas into or?

Yes.

got it. do you know what the vessel is or what it looks like?
or do you just put the ideas in and if it stays its meant to be a part of it and if it doesn’t it isn’t?

Yes.

ah i see. and your having trouble testing it out because its not fleshed out enough to test out? or because you are stuck in trying to make it like a final product before testing it?

To answer both questions, yes.
