Living in the shadows of greatness...

not necessarily a shadow of greatness , but one of the main conflicts the mc of my nano wip starts with is between her and her twin sister. because her sister is effortlessly perfect, she excels in school, she has control of her magic, she’s friendly with everyone. Whereas the MC struggles a lot with her magic and ultimately her self-worth.

there’s some other stuff in there that distances them from each other but the main thing in relation to this question is that the mc views her sister as this impossible to live-up-to monolith and it’s driven a wedge between them.

I think this is a great mention too since it doesn’t have to be grand like my examples.

Will your MC learn to accept herself in the end, but ultimately grow as a character? I wonder?

Nah, no weirdness there.

I wanted Amneris and Hathor to have a good relationship. They do butt heads every now and then but, again, there arent really any expectations

yeah my stories tend to be a lot smaller scale than yours. grandness isn’t my forte  even this story i’m struggling with a bit because of the size of the cast.

mayhaps, or maybe she destroys her life and the world as she knows it. we’ll have to see.

Yeah, with the characters that I’ve listed, I had no idea I was following a theme because they are all similar to each other. It took me to list them down to realize that I my characters are very similar to each other in a way. They come from rich families and want to be a bit different than their own families members. The only one that is a bit different is Zelen Cambeck who only wanted to be a Knight to unravel the truth about his two brothers, while his parents wanted him to be doctors like them and they are small-town doctors.

For this next story idea that I have, I don’t think I will be doing something like that because their is no place for it there.

Maybe on a smaller scale, but other than that no.
I am sorry for rambling once again! I get in a mood where I just need to express everything. LOL!

Oh no~~!
