My characters are annoying me!

How do I get my characters not to hate time sharing?

I need to finish Lio, but I want to continue with my secondary project as well. I am more into the secondary project at the moment, but Lio needs finished by the end of the month. I have 12k to go for it, but it’s slow as hell to get finished. What do I do? :open_mouth:

Jot notes down on the other characters–enough to be able to go back and flesh it out, then dump them. The drive for other character’s time is often based upon the worry of forgetting a new idea.

Rod is like do me, do me.

Adam is like come on, 12k.

I’m like ok, wait I only have ONE BRAIN!

I am making notes on them too.

try something fun: get another character to help with writing Leo’s story, see if that helps or hurts.

throws the manuscript at Julio

Bro make yourself useful for once?

This is going to be a mess. Lio is the story name, means “mess” in Spanish. Adam is the MC.

Murder them.

They can’t be annoying in death.

Believe me, Adam will come back to haunt Julio. So will Rod.

Write Lio for a certain word count (e.g. 1k) or a chapter, and when you do that amount you can write your second project as a reward for you / your attention-starved characters?

Should I?

The sooner it’s finished, the sooner you can focus on the next project though
