The first character we’re starting off with, and the daughter daughter of the infamous scientist. She works as a federal government employee with her friend Peyton, living in one of the safest districts in the U.S. Her life consists of working hard enough to pay for her bills, dealing with her annoying childhood friend, and ignoring her father’s legacy. She’s just your average American… or so she thinks.

Next up is my grumpy boy, also the son of a well known scientist. He’s a little antisocial, only cares about his little sister, and likes to watch soccer. He’s not too bright but does have the guts to survive in a world like this. Life’s a little bland when zombies had killed your parents and it’s only your sister and you. Let’s give him a hand for trying to make due in a world you could call hell.

Born of Japanese heritage, the only thing she has inherited is the ability to have a good eye, and I mean have a good eye at art (forgery) and sharp shooting. She can be a little crazy having ADHD, but she’s perfectly capable of doing anything she wants to do. It might take more than some bravery to hit a zombie or two.

This girl has a pretty high IQ for a 14 year old, which helps with her coding talents. Need someone to hack into the FBI’s database? (please don’t do that, it’s illegal) you got it! Sometimes, you just gotta stay with her long enough to know that she can be pretty sweet inside. We always need the brainy one in the group.

He’s an aspiring singer and songwriter, hailing from the country called Australia. As a Korean, he’s got to stay true to his roots and that’s why he got Taekwondo under his belt. He’s funny, cheerful, and overall a friendly dude, it would be sad to see him die without getting to know him, right?

Greener Days is heavily inspired by the *Newsflesh* and *Parasite Trilogies*, but did you know it wasn’t even suppose to be a horror genre or a zombie book? Originally, I wrote this in 7th grade about a girl living through a dystopian future where the world is fighting against climate change. They were also fighting against SNA-117, a fictional virus I made modeled after Covid-19. This was when the coronavirus was still new in February of 2020, and I didn’t know how it would affect us. Well, after that, I evolved it into a zombie novel and that’s where we are now. I’ve always wanted to create an apocalyptic horror/zombie book and it’s been one of my favorite writing projects so far. I hope I finish this book someday as well.
