One Line Poetry Game

I really enjoyed this game before, so I thought I’d bring it here:

The aim is to write a poem that is one line/sentence starting with the last word of the previous poem (the poem the person above wrote).

Example

Person one: The night wind blew softly mingled with the ocean waves.

Person two: Waves of desire crashed through here mind at the sight.

I shall begin:

Here, we climb and though it may feel like a mountain, it is but a hill with the sun on the other side

Clear skies and icy winds hide tales of those unknown, who lay beneath in hiding - never more alone

Alone with my thoughts that intertwine with the darkness, leaving me cold, empty and heartless.

The sun beckoned my weary soul-- but I shunned it. For to fall and roll down this barricade would be far easier then to use these tarnished hands, and lift these burdens I carry over this trifling hill.
