I pretty much listen to music almost anytime I write, but one of my friends apparently can’t listen to music while writing. The most he can do is listen for a few minutes, then write without music for the rest of his writing session. He considers it a distraction :open_mouth:

Meanwhile I’m currently writing a few hundred words while listening to an album on repeat :joy:

How do you react when you know something the characters don’t know yet as a reader and it will take the character some time to learn what you’ve already known?

  • I’m pretty alright with it.
  • It depends on how crucial the information is and how long it takes for the characters to learn it.
  • It drives me crazy, seriously!
  • Meh, I don’t care. I’m pretty indifferent.
  • I love it, honestly! I get to be the one who is in the know.

If I’m out in the country, like on a hike, I say hello to strangers. Maybe stop for a quick chat. Funny how people are nicer when they’re out in nature.

In the city it’s usually a passing ‘Alright?’. And most encounters I have with strangers are when I’m smoking.
