I noticed that we can now schedule chapters on Wattpad. I’ve tried it, but when the set hour had passed … nothing happened. Has anyone else tried it? What are your experiences?

also it might be delayed due to timezones? maybe your account is set to a timezone behind the one you live in.
or maybe wattpad is being wattpad and glitching again

it’s set to my timezone. It tells which timezone it is when you’re planning
so it’s wattpad being glitching… again

Yeah, the first one I tried went out an hour early. The next 3 went okay (releasing 2 books at the moment) and then yesterday it didn’t go out at all.
I know a few people are having issues of not going out. I’d put in a ticket if it happens again!

If this ever gets sorted out, I’d be able to release a book in a serial manner (which is a small part of why I get no growth).
But how far is it letting you schedule in advance?

I’m now trying one chapter today and see if it follows the set time. I also searched for information on Wattpad about the feature, but they don’t seem to talk about it 
how are you setting these? i was looking yesterday to see if i could do it too but i didn’t find anything that would let me schedule an autopost.
You can only set it on the web version. Press publish and then the option appears

the furthest I got was being able to set my last ones of one for 1st August this year - I still had the option for the rest of August, so I assume a long time? Wattpad harp on about the best practice being 1x a week, so my assumption is they’d set it for a long time (maybe a year?) so people can do that?
If they could do it that a year long, I’d be more inclined to write, lmao.
hm, i was using the web version, but i’ll try that today.

Maybe it’s in beta or something and not available everywhere Otherwise I bet they’d brag about it becaause it’s one of the biggest features that their competitors have and they lack(ed)…

Yep mine was scheduled to come out 18 minutes ago (7pm BST, which is what time I’ve set ALL my updates for) - but nope, nothing, so had manually do it again. It’s weird. Sent in a ticket to the support site.
