The King in Yellow?
Very lovecraftian.
Ooh, I like that.
Indeed! I use these references more for inspiration for tone, atmosphere, etc. but I do quite like experimenting with Lovecraftian horror! Playing so much Skyrim in my youth, the face (or faces??? eyes?) of Hermaeus Mora stuck in my head, and ever since I have had at least one incomprehensibly dark creature in my works.
Edit: was Hermaeus Mora not Hermes Mora.
Edit: Also reference picture down below for those who don’t know about him! Fun fact: If you go into third-person and speak with him, his eyes follow the player not the character. This wasn’t done with purpose (something about how editing him following the camera not the character was easier to produce), but it’s still freaks me out every time. Like he’s always supernaturally aware of his own fictiveness.
He is one of the Daedric Princes, right?
Something with knowledge, correct?
Indeed-io, a prince of knowledge/memory, his questline is one of the coolest in-game experiences. If you’re ever looking for inspiration for a Lovecraftian horror setting, I’d def look through playthroughs.
Cool.
Isn’t Bloodbourne (possible oops) like Lovecraftian based too?
Possibly, have not had the pleasure of playing the Bloodborne series, but it’s on the list!
Ah, alrighty then.
I LOVE Cosmic horror/Lovecraftian horror a lot!
This is an absolute favourite. I love everything about it, and it’s been consistently my favourite piece of fantasy art for a few months, now.
I can also be here forever. xD
Below is actually some of the landscapes in my sci-fi fantasy:
And then here’s some of my favorites I’ve found on Pinterest (not associated with my book):
LOL!
Ooh, very mysterious.
