Exactly, which is the saddest thing ever.
I hate it and want it to never exist in the first place.

Thatâs always been @Churro ragequit.
My tbing is that if represnation can be your heroes, they can be your villains. Everyone hates a Mary Sue, but people are so afriad to offend that they wont make a REAL character, sometimes.
Ugh! Much Frustration!
I canât with people anymore!
My first exposure to a sex change in a novel was in a murder mystery where the serial killer got a sex change so that his/her fingerprints wouls always point back to a dude, but she could continue to murder. I was NOT expecting it. The investigating/prey didnt know what hit them until it was a fight for their lives.
And for the life of me, I dont remember the name of the book.
Yes, because if youâre going to have characters, they need actual personalities and they canât just be vague politicial statements that the reader canât relate to, or that they refuse to relate to. Yeah, itâs true that not everyone will/can like all your characters, but they need to match the plot.
For example, Kaiji works well for his show because he is relatable on a humanistic level and his temperment/characteristics match the plot well, and he still has a lot of development to do over the series as a whole.
If you put a cute, soft boy in Kaijiâs role, the series wouldnât work. The same with a cute couple being shipped. It wouldnât work on several aspects, especially not with the art style. Even Kaiji is drawn in such a way that shows gambling addiction is grimy.
Yeah, fetishizing is annoying. Especially when the characters look underage (not saying they are). Itâs freaky to me when two characters who are âsoft and cuteâ and look about 14 but are 18. I donât really like that aspect of shipping and fetishizing, especially when it isnât relevant to the plot (i.e. not a romance, or involves a plot where the two characters have to come together romantically).
But yeah, speculation about a characterâs sexuality is distracting and it can take away from the story. Itâs really annoying also when non canon ships happen. It takes away from the art, and the artists/writers intentions, and most of the time, it wouldnât work realistically.
In my story, Electric Tacos, the main focus is the four friends, and their group. But within the group, Ricky and Mateo make their own study group to pair up and try to pass classes, it also has a school play, general slice of life events, and yes, Mateo comes out, and he has urges but thatâs not the main focus of the story, nor should it.
And there are romances, and close romances and it does talk about âsexâ etc, but itâs much more than that. All the characters, especially Mateo are much more than their sexuality. They have hopes, dreams, aspirations, likes, dislikes and goals. Sexuality is just one mere aspect of them.
Fan service is annoying to me because it takes away from the original vision. Say, you have a story with Paul and Jim. The story is about soccer and Paul and Jim are rivals, but they become friends and they have something in common.
When people just ship them, it loses the purpose, if the author intended them to be friends, and learn from each other. Just because they âlook cute togetherâ. And if the writer gives in, they are as bad as them to cater to the fan service and stray away from the original point.
I understand fanfic shipping for fun, but if the shipping ends up affecting the story in a negative way, and leads it from the original intent, then I disagree with it.
If people are just gonna call a character gay, and nothing else, and act like this, then I am done:

It seems like, especially in Voltron, shipping culture can get toxic and I am not there for that. Itâs meant to be a childrenâs show for goodness sake!
Its hard enough on people that look underage, but arenât. Mom was carded before dad, until my dad could grow a beard.
wipes a tear
I knew youâd get me! I am just so touched by your comment and it makes so much sense!
Mama, I am home! I found my peoples! I can live again, mama!
In all seriousness, I do hate the aspect that strictly because the character is fictional, ANYTHING GOES!!!
It sucks so much! I read people saying or even asking is that character really gay when that characterâs orientation has NEVER even been disclosed by the creator. They just automatically assume because of the yaoi fans constantly yelling about it.
And why do you really want that character to be gay and only gay as oppose to anything else?
You say that they are fictional and we can make them work for us, but why do you want to them to be gay only?
Like not even an aro-ace, bisexual, pansexual, demi-sexual, straight, or anything else. Just strictly gay because that male character is so friendly with his male friend that it screams GAY rather than just two males having a strictly male friendship that you donât really see in the real world hence the fact that fiction somewhat glamourizes it rather than making it a little realistic.
But most people go to fiction for pure escapism. You canât change reality, but can alter fiction to please you in the way reality can not.
I would love to voice these opinions of mine, but I swear the amount of backlash I will receive from the hardcore yaoi fans and shippers will cause me to want to burn shit to the ground or stay off the internet because human beings are being stupid as hell as always.
Most of the time I stay silent because I hate arguing to stranger over the internet. The idea of that is dumb to me.
It is just bothersome because it stems down to the whole âpeople can do whatever they want and you should accept that and learn to tolerate that what people do that makes them happy doesnât need you getting ass-hurt over it/Let people do what makes them happy and just get over and let it go.â
I am sorry I just need to vent here!
There are too many normies on Booktube! My gods!
These people want Evangelion, not New Getter Robo. They want Hoizer, not Orden Ogan. Vampire: The Masquerade, but not Warhammer 40k!
Thereâs too many goddamn Shinjis in this world!
Youâll hear the word agenda a lot. Most of itâs personal agendas. Just like thereâs people who want it all one thing, thereâs those that want it the opposite.
Its easiest with the generalizations about theft: 20% will never steal, 20% will always steal, and thereâs chunks of the population in every sub-category. About the only way I take things is accidentally or if you manage to find some hypothetical situation where I canât get food right now, especially for my kids. That puts me pretty high up there on anti-theft lists. I also donât believe that property ownership allows you to morally prosecute someone for taking a fruit off your tree in passing, when you let them rot around the base of the tree, eitherâand I tend to fall out strict properly rights otherwise.
Well, anyway, one of my many âIâd get in trouble if I wrote the guy the way I remember himâ is a dude that was sure everyone was gay and he could make them gay if he was given enough time. Thatâs actually one of his better personality traits, honestly.
But there are people out there like that, who want everything to be their fetish. What really pushes me to care is they want everything to fit their âStan Stanceâ, but will go toe to toe over inisisting that âborn this wayâ is the only logical stance. They are literally holding both extremes at the same time.
Iâll repeat that.
They are literally holding both extremes at the same time.
And its a problem:
âWe want exposure that makes us favorable to the masses, teach them the right and wrong of what we are.â
Vs.
âWe are going to overshadow everything with turning the whole world gay and give people reason to fear us.â
Anyone looking at this rationally will not see it as mostly intentional. Sure, there will be a few out there like the guy I cant fictionalize, but most of it is âfeeding my own lustsâ, without a care for the type of repercussions it gains in-community, and out-community.
But Iâm used to this becaue its in every single field and ideology. We live in an era when people equate âIâm at faultâ with âconsequencesâ. No, consequences are cause and effect. Youâre at fault only when youâre the direct and proveable cause, not the indirect cause, not caught up in the culmination of a long chain-reactionâand then only if you have âauthorityâ over the cause to be in charge of the effect. And even further, when it should be their responsible cause, everyone STILL blames someone else.
So, I donât see this changing until effects are harsh and silencing (which none of us wants to see).
Anyway⌠we wouldnât have the lesbian icon Xena Warrior Princess without the shipping wars.
That part felt kind of pushed, as someone who didnt watch it in syndicateâŚbut it felt like the writing was falling off before then, really.
Translating my professorâs slides but the translating AI machine messed up all the diagrams, so I have to fix those, too
I did not sign up to fix the diagrams. I signed up to translate.
Bleh.
I wish I were writing.
Time to do some writing sprints with background music.
I am going to do my novel in the very same format I did
The House of Naivin.
Much later I will continue on with Arcane Proposal with is my handwritten short story. I am almost done with page seven.

Looking forward to the opportunity to go to the sterile room & prepare IV meds this week :3
I am curious to know if I can read physical books again or if I should take it slow.
I am just worried that I wonât be able to visualize even with the changes in medication.
I still have some audiobooks to listen too, but I also have physical books to read as well.
I wonder what to doâŚ
The fact that I started journaling again after such a long time.
Who am I right now?! LOL!
I was using Wikipedia to look up movies and watching a YouTuber at the same time, and when I was on the Wikipedia page for a biker movie, the YouTuber threw in that he was a Harley rider.
LOL!
Maybe because it has been a while, but can any of you who plan on getting your driverâs license in America walk into the DMV just to get the driverâs manual without making an appointment?
That is all I want to know and is thinking about.
I need a new book to study for the written, but I just want to know if I need to set an appointment when the only thing I am doing is getting the manual for studying.
I shouldnât need to make an appointment for simply that reason, correct?
