So, tell me, what is on your mind at the moment? (Part 1)

This at the moment:

Me: Thanks a lot, Mother Nature!

Mother Nature: confused What did I do?

Me: Because of you, my menstrual cycle started today before I leave for my camping trip! On top of that, it is going to be rainy on those days which will make everything gross and dirty!

Mother Nature: laughing Oh, yeah, I did do that, didn’t I? Yeah, I can be a mean bitch sometimes, huh?

Me: You couldn’t come bother me a day after the camping trip?

Mother Nature: Nope. But cheer up because you’re going to be fine. Just remember to pack light or in your case heavy…whatever floats your boat man! Have fun!

Me:

Mother Nature:

I dont have a schedule. I have maybe a 3 day warning of “into it” followed by “dont touch me” that my husband is far more aware of than I am…

Mostly becauae I’m “don’t touch me” by the end of most any day with 3 kids. I think that’s normal behavior–he sees a difference. Like@ good for you, Mr. Nuance. Mrs. Sledgehammer thinks she’s normal.

I’m pretty good with that.
I mean I get a bit moody, but not that much.

And my medication is probably not going to work as great as I want it to because of hormones. :upside_down_face:

Well, it would be nice to see what a normal cycle looks like on the drugs.

Exactly.

@J.L.O:

The craziest thing is that days before my period started, I was starting to act like my old self before the changes in medication. Didn’t truly dawn on me that, my hormones and the medication and ADHD are just conflicting with each other so badly.

I was ready to up my medication dosage and complain to my doctor, but it wasn’t my medications fault, it’s my damn hormone’s fault!

Now, I really hate being a woman!

In all honesty, progesterone makes me insane. (Not wholly rational. Not that my reasoning no longer works–still as logical as ever, but my rsponse to things is excessive.)

Everything guys say about how women are inconsistent? Yeah, that crap. Its the thing that spikes around the cycle, and is used to safely start a cycle, and the main pregnancy hormone. I get mean as heck on a spike. In fact I was so easily irritable for my son that my lashing out was what caused me to take a test in the first place. The drop in testosterone that comes with older PCOS means I dont have Rampage 2.0 backing up the progesterone as much, so I know its more stable now. Especially since kids arent happening anymore.

Anyway, the only reason I did mental tasks better on a cycle is because I hate moving around when on one, not because of the hormones, but because of the exaustuon and sometiems lightheadedness that came with it. Pain I can handle.

Yikes, it’s bad for any female, regardless of her body type!

Those that tend to have it easiest seem to be those who either have low hormones or dont respond to their hormones. But its a whole other set of problems, for that.

Wow…yeah…that has to be an interesting thing.
Just realizing that it is going to be just me and my friend on the camping trip, during the rain fall, doing little to nothing at all because of said rain.

This is great.

Take it as a vacation to do nothing but chill. Lol

True, true!

Have you asked your doctor if your meds would interfere with birth control pills? That would get rid of your period, but I have no idea how they’d affect ADHD medication. You should ask! ( -.-)\(^◡^ )

Important Video

No.

I haven’t had a regular doctor since last year. That changes next month because I have an appointment with a new doctor.

I rather not risk that though.
Just need to pay closer attention to my body when my hormones kick in.

Thanks for the suggestion though. :slightly_smiling_face:

Rather slow afternoon at the pharmacy

Randomly thought about why fancy restaurants seem to serve a smaller amount of food

The one from yesterday’s pharmacy meeting thing had AMAZING chocolate cake though, I’ll give them that!

something seems a little fishy here…
