The interesting thought process of a character who was terrified of what she had done—murder. Not whether or not the murder was right or wrong (she murdered a man who is an enemy, but who was kind to her despite being the enemy). It’s the fact that she murdered someone that bothers her.
I’ve only ever heard it called a slave mentality. It’s like the movie Wall-e. A whole population that has imagination and talent, but no drive to get out and hustle. Forever on the feed-bag, never at the chopping board.
