I have a tendency to buy a day’s worth of food when I food shop… I’ll share what I don’t eat with my work friends since airport food is questionable for lack of better phrasing.

Some interesting facts about books and reading: Some readers don’t visualize at all while reading. In his 2014 book What We See When We Read, Peter Mendelsund wrote that even people who visualize while reading experience it vastly differently. Some people consciously picture characters and scenes; some experience them spontaneously, like performances occurring in front of them.

My middle finger is all scrpaed up from popping heads off at least half an ice chest of shrimp last night.
(Father-in-law went shrimping with his brother, got an ice chest full, took what he wanted.)
When you want to not worry about freezer burn with shrimp, you pop their heads, leave the shell on, and add enough water to surround them in ice. Ive eaten shrimp that was 5 years frozen, no issue (those that lose a touch of water with air pockets to make freezerburn are culled when thawing). I prefer to rotate stock, but it was cleaning out a “grandparent’s deep freze”, when I found out how sustainable freezing shrimp can be. Thr only orher advice is to thaw them out in warm water to get the old frost-shield off. This type of thing is conter-intuitive like aged beef.
But no, I don’t intend to let it go that long.
