this is lies and deception! the quebecois pretend not to know english and are rude to all non-francophones specifically for being non-francophones, even non-anglophone people learning english as a second language.
although, hilariously, rent is apparently cheaper there because of how much nobody wants to deal with the french.

Well, itās not like on my mind because I responded to it this morning and promptly forgot it until this moment: some rando called me a moron because I said some parts of Texas are dry on a post that claimed all of Texas was dryā¦
I had no hope of them comprehending what I wrote, and said that, but left enough details: west Texas being the wet side of a desert (making it very desert like). parts of Texas averaging below 30% humidity (which is dry), and flooding not being absorbed after a drought leaves the ground less spongelike are all aspects of ābeing dryā, which is not ānever has water or floodingā.
I mean, itās useful to know the specifics when I had the general information right, beforehand. But I do wonder at the general intelligence of people.

Meanwhile, half my brain is focused on the fact that thereās gushes and gushes of water spraying on the audience and wondering if anyone is worried about their devices and wondering if the people with glasses find it hard to see the artists with water droplets on their glasses, like, did no one think aboutā¦ oh hey look, Psy is not even singing most of the time, and is just jumping up and down, will he, oh there he goes. How old is he now???
And then the video ends and I think, yeah, that was fun.

oh i quit my job effective august 1st two days ago and just now got an email from a university sponsorship program saying iām not authorized to quit until August 13th and now i have to try explaining that to my employers who know very little english and also might be pissed at me for quitting in the first place. so thatās great. also my hours might matter? and iām suddenly not getting any ( for some m y s t e r i o u s reason that has nothing to do with my resignation letter i just c o i n c e d e n t a l l y donāt have any more hours this month ) but i feel like itās probably important to the sponsorship that iām getting hours because its basically e/i (but like through a specific institute?? or something? i actually donāt know how it works tbh)
who knew free money could be this stressful
