So, tell me, what is on your mind at the moment? (Part 2)

I have to stop writing because the maintenance people are drilling something and it is so fucking annoyingly loud!

I hate that sound, it grates my nerves!

you reckon wp is dying out now? i got back on it today, just paused for a minute and thought… there’s nothing here anymore. we write but what are the odds that people will be able to find them until it’s too late and we’re already far gone? there’s barely any community, and if you’re lucky to find one, you’ll notice that there’s still a little bit of loneliness in it. i remember being thirteen, with a new wp account, where wattpad forums were so active and kept it all alive. where everyone was actively commenting and voting and sharing and it was just like being on instagram or tiktok where it rarely ever died down. wacky is a really good replacement, there’s no doubt about that, it’d be so much better if so much more people flocked to it. on wp, everyone was on the forums, and now, not many seek them out. we just lost out on everything that was incredibly active on there, especially its people. even graphic stuff, like there used to be heaps loads of graphic competitions, book cover request threads, and when the forums ended, when we got to doing graphics through books, it went well for a while. the graphic comps were going but then they died out two years ago. i constantly still look for them but not many people do it now, and if they do, it’s very hard to find them. it’s different now and at some points, i wish the old wp would come back but then again, even if it did, even if wp ever had an integrated forum back in its hands, it still wouldn’t be the same, because even in creativity these days… people cheat. they create from works that aren’t their own, create covers with some self-generating app, write through ai bots, to the point where the style is just so repetitive and recognisable. originality is just leaving and unauthentic projects are making their way forward. i’ve been back on wp a day, and the most popular books i find are very clearly ai written, just the same words and phrases and sentence structures. sometimes i wonder if my own language style could accidentally mimic it. it’s like we’ve gone backwards. at least when i was thirteen, i was just using synonym finders. now, thirteen year olds just come up with an idea and let the computer do all the work for them. no doubt this is a new age. i just feel a little nostalgic to when it was simpler, when people worked hard, and adjusted, and learnt how to write. when i was surrounded by people who still did that, so that i could work on things myself. these days, things are so lazy, even sometimes i catch myself lacking. i used to love when people used to give tips on how to write on the wp forums, and offer editing services. it was the kind of authentic helpfulness that made it feel so much better. though don’t get me wrong, there were a fair few negatives back then, it still felt nice. it’s just maddening. i miss it sm. it’s like growing up from playing in the streets, knowing it’ll never be like that again because you’ve grown. it’s just what’s in my thoughts rn.

Can’t seem to find my red composition notebook with all my questions for my magic system.

I wonder how much searching I have to do in order to find it.

Update: Found it!

Someone else on YouTube found it, so I searched and lo and behold,
Audra Winter’s old Wattpad account that she forgot to get rid of, I guess.

In her conversations she talks about a book called The Zodiac Turner which, it’s been confirmed by TikTok peeps that she has promoted this book on her TikTok account. Apparently, this is what Age of Scorpius used to be. She has published The Zodiac Turner once on Amazon.

You can still find the Goodreads for it: The Zodiac Turner: The Five Trials by Serena W | Goodreads

When you go through her Wattpad conversations, you can find that she’s won a Pokemon fandom Wattys Award which isn’t even official Wattys, apparently. Some people are wondering if her saying she won awards was about this one.

@Akje hey, look what I found :stuck_out_tongue: The lore of Audra has deepened and gotten a little too close to home

Did she write PokƩmon fan fiction or something?

Apparently, that’s where her writing journey started. She loves/loved pokemon.

Dinner was great, but I am so full.

I shall write later.

Omg yes! She’s shown this Zodiac Turner book cover in some of her TikTok videos, but it never occurred to me that it would have a Goodreads page. But of course it would. Good investigative work! Sad that it actually has a higher rating than The Age of Scorpius. Honestly, I don’t see why she doesn’t just rewrite the whole thing again as The Age of Aquarius or something and continue the series instead of trying to get this one book perceived just right.

On a related note I’ve figured out how she got all the pre-orders! I didn’t know this before, but once you put something for sale in the TikTok shop then the algorithm starts blasting out your content to all their millions of users. So her videos were suddenly getting seen by millions of people who’d never heard of her before, and of course many thousands of them decided to take a chance on it. My goodness, just look at those aesthetics! It MUST be good!

Seriously, suckers who fall for sprayed edges, fancy end pages and commissioned artwork deserve exactly what they get. ☜(ˆ▿ˆc)

I don’t know if I’ve posted this before, but this is now my absolute favorite video about the whole scandal. I’ve watched it several times and it always makes me laugh. ヽ(^怂^)äøæ

Audra is a never ending saga, to be honest. It’s actually more interesting at this point than a lot of recently published fiction :joy: So many twists, turns and revelations. So much drama, too.

Yes, the Caleb Joseph video is good :joy: ! I love his videos.

I don’t know if you know of BookLoverLaura, but she’s started documenting the saga and made a playlist. She’s got about four parts at the moment and is still updating it:

VangelinaSkov also has a three hour deep dive video, if you haven’t seen that yet:

And SavyWrites:

ReadsWithRachel and several other BookTubers have read it, and made videos on it. JoelyBlack’s video about paracosms is good as well. Enjoyed that:

Lynn D. Jung’s video about child prodigies as well (she links it to Audra):

I’m balls deep into the lore myself. I also heard about Audra’s account (maybe more, not sure), and her ā€˜Serena Winter’ era. I knew she had a Wattpad account, but I didn’t know it was still up. I know she had another that she deleted and she published Zodiac Turner.

Whoever found the account, I will get them tea/coffee/water/wine/matcha/whatever they want

Yup, I watched all BookLoverLaura’s! In fact, I’ve seen all those videos you posted except SavyWrites and Lynn D. Jung’s. So now I have something to do tonight. (>‿◠):v:

And yes, this whole saga is so fascinating! If she seriously wanted to become rich and successful, all she’d have to do is write a nonfiction tell-all account of it from her own point of view – you know, including all the secret bits. I’d love to know just what trauma she had in childhood that necessitated her getting a $20k therapy dog when she says in one of her weepier videos that some of the worst pain she’s ever known is having the TikTok algorithm fail to make her go viral. That’s her worst pain? I’ve never gone viral ever, and I don’t have a therapist. Maybe I should. *ponders*

Greetings. :grinning:

I’ve been too easily distracted by X and AI art, and binge-watching / reading the international news.* I’m also trying to plan out my 2026 career path and projects, but technology keeps overtaking my ideas. Otherwise, no grand developments to report.
