Just like a time capsule…
I’ve decided to make Chapter 1 into Chapter 0 and give it five parts rather than seven. So, I am done with chapter 1 which is now Chapter 0. It is currently at 13,608 words.
Chapter 0 is the prologue basically. I regret nothing and I am alright with this turn of events.
Whew! Man, I am tired and beat!
Also, the other chapters will be broken down into seven parts rather than five.
I’m done for now.
I made it a New Year’s resolution to get back into learning solo piano repertoire (I’ve mainly been doing accompaniment), and this piece is murdering me. I’m making good progress but I’m also a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to music, like I have a very strong idea of what the piece should sound like and then get annoyed when my fingers won’t cooperate.

I guess instead of a House of Earth and Blood, we’d get Disgraced Earthshaker Bryce, lol.

I have to redo chapter 1-part 1, not chapter 0 (that can wait till edits), just chapter 1-part 1.
I sounds a bit better in my head than it originally did.

I expelled a sigh of relief today because Mikhail Nazarychev finally gave an update and he is safely in the United States. He is a Russian figure skater and the only one at such a high tier (he medaled in Grand Prix) to speak openly against the war. He went through a ringer because he is too outspoken, too ‘selfish’ etc, in other words, he is not welcome in Russia.

Since i’m in-between projects (not really i’m just procrastinating the one i want to do next) i decided to take some time and re-do this dreadfully out-of-date character quick reference sheet I have.
I have 70 characters so far and it feels like I’ve cut a ton of characters already. But all of that is from the work I did on the horrible awful head-hurting project yesterday. Cut a whole group from that plus a bunch of side characters.
I can’t wait to get into characters from newer projects, ones where I didn’t feel the need to name and record every single side character who shows up for two lines 
. Why is security guard #2 on this list? he doesn’t do anything! He could be a lamp! I literally just made more work for myself

It’s only day 2 of uni and I’m already feeling burned out 
I never really got a chance to catch up and recover after last semester, so I’m feeling really behind. I seriously doubt I’ll be able to do ONC this year, even though I really want to try.
Uni rant:
Just found out I have to write 9 - 10 essays for just one of my classes T_T I died inside when the prof said that - that’s completely ridiculous. Still have to wait and see if they’re long or not (he doesn’t have the syllabus up yet) but gah I hope not. That plus the readings for his class are going to be insane (we’re reading 6 books), not to mention the group projects he brought up. It’s the first day of his class and he’s already assigned 35 pgs of reading by tomorrow like what even. He thinks we have infinite free time. I’ve never had a prof like this in undergrad!
Oh and the other prof I met today kicked the freshmen + sophomores out of her class and was like this is going to be too difficult for you, come back when you’re juniors she doesn’t have the syllabus up yet either so I’m slightly unnerved. And then my third class has a 5hr lab on Wednesdays, and the prof says we still won’t have enough time to finish the labs and we’ll have to do it at home alongside the other homeworks. I’m pretty sure writing isn’t going to happen at all this semester at this rate. Still have 2 more professors to meet and get the syllabi from, too 
and work to do for the club I’m president of. And here I was all excited for ONC lolol

Wait, how much is the word count? If the word count is long, then I would consider ditching that class or something. My god, I’d fucking lose it or something.

I have no idea!!! He hasn’t posted any other information about them 
He talks really quiet and I think he said 12 pages for one of them, but I don’t know if that’s just for one, or if that’s every one because I couldn’t hear him

I might try to switch professors if there’s another class available. I was intending for this class to be my low-priority class but if the prof assigns work like this I might have to de-prioritize one of my other ones instead
