I am still trying to figure things out with my two characters from The Breakers.

What am I going to do?

Worse yet, what are you going to do later when the forums close and you can’t ask for help with your books anymore? sob That’s really sad, actually. What are we going to do without this place? /weep

Closed my Wattpad today after years having it. End of an era for me. But since the online novel industry is changing, gotta switch it up and try to reinvent myself as an indie author.

Uploaded my third audiochapter on YT and Booth. I can’t track Booth impressions and reach, but YT stats are looking positive. With cheap paid ad runs, one of my audiochapters earned 573 views in 10 days. I think that’s ok.

Think this is my new way of web-noveling going forward. I’ll upload text-based versions to Pixiv and audio-based to YT & Booth.

Thoughts on this:

When a writer decides to take a crack at a genre or trope or cliche or a combination of all three, by making giving it their very own spin to make it appeal to readers who are blatantly tired of the same thing that they want to see an actual change. So, you as a writer, decides to tackle it and end up going in a way that makes the readers think “OMG! An actual twist!” or something.

Yet as the story progresses, and the readers become so immersed in your story that nothing can shake them, the writers pulls the biggest “fuck you” stunt in ever, which causes the entire fandom and lovers of the genre/trope/cliche to outright loathe/hate the writer for what they did.

The writer has nobody on their side after pulling that stunt and because of this, whenever that writer post a brand new story. NOBODY wants to give it a try or rather a small few people read it and it was only out of pity.

However, the writer knew what they planned on doing would hurt them in the in, but they only did that to prove how much they utterly detest something so much that they hate to take something people love, give it a bit of a twist, then end the whole novel in a way that disturbingly pissed off the whole fandom and prevent others from wanting to read it even out of curiosity.

Once it comes time for the writer to reveal why they did it, the writer happily tells them the reason.

Writer: “I am no writer by any means. I just hate this certain genre that has more lovers and blind loyalists than haters. People who outright hate this genre/trope, but can never voice their opinion in a way without getting bombarded with taunts and insults, I did it for those people. Or really I just did it to see if I could do it and boost my own ego. I regret nothing.”

This causes more people to hate him and greatly dismiss him as a writer or anything since the writer never truly enjoyed writing. The writer is just vindictive and petty as hell and only want to get back at the people who love the genre and trope that they felt didn’t deserve to get popular.

Depending on whatever the genre and trope is, what could the writer exactly do to make him an enemy to all writers and readers like that?

Romance stories that end with the lovers dying and the bad guy winning. Had that happen at the end of a werewolf novel and was almost shook and I don’t need a typical ending. Sucked. Lmao

Damn…
I realized that I am NOWHERE deeper into the story of The Breakers. Chapter wise, I am still in the beginning regardless if it seems like I am deep into the whole thing part wise.

I am only on chapter 2, PART 3 and I am nowhere near close to where the story needs to be.

I find it hilarious and a bit upsetting in that regard.

Like damn, I am not even fully in the story and I have a shit ton to go through. Then there are other stories I need to go back to and start set and not set in the world of Alagossia.

I would make a schedule, but Qualeshia is that person of who greatly hates following a schedule and rather do her own thing.

She…doesn’t like being tied down like that or having a routine in that sense.

Yeah…

i am a very responsible person, except for i have a terrible gremlin inside my brain that says “of course you should prioritize writing and get x part done before everything else” 24/7

Still feeling a bit crappy from the other day, but I want to get a bit of writing done before I do something else.

Sigh. Such as life…

Yes, it does. Apparently that writer has a habit of it. I’ve got 1 where the early couple shouldn’t get together in the end, and the couple in the 2nd arc should scare the snot out of you on an intellectual level…Yeah, an ONC thing.

I need to FUCKING understand myself and where I want to go writing wise, because I am not satisfied and entirely content or plain happy about doing other stories for the world of Alagossia.

I have a SHIT TON of ideas for stand-alones, series (two or three books), or short stories.

It is just I am so wrapped up into The Breakers that I DO NOT want to strictly focus on solely because I need to switch it up, but then it stems from trying to multi-task when my ADHD brain struggles…greatly.

UGH! MUCH FRUSTRATION!

Is there anyone out that who can help me just a smidge because I am so fucking lost right now?!

I want to do my El Dorado/Trojan War story which is called Gold Supremacy, but is that what I REALLY want to do writing wise.

I’ve always wanted to take inspiration from others and whatnot, but I just find it easier to do my thing. WHAT THE HELL IS MY THING IS SOMETHING I STRUGGLE TO FIND OUT?!

I shall continue with The Breakers and try my absolute hardest on another story that also takes place on Alagossia.

I still need to start a Elvarth story-CAN’T DO IT! I REALLY CAN’T DO IT AND I AM DOING TO MUCH!

Sorry, I have vent a bit.
