True. Having a place to dump out/organize your thoughts is helpful. And just being able to bounce ideas off of others, it makes such a difference. Otherwise, the writing journey feels very isolated, and can feel downright hopeless at times.

Off Topic: I am really impressed by the room makeovers and desk setup aesthetics that people are doing on YouTube. Yet at the same time, there are hardly any new ones, and I am rewatching some old ones which is great, but I wanna watch something new or newish.
On Topic: Time to brainstorm on doing some worldbuilding for this novel and in general. Also, I need to find some nice calming background music as I write on YouTube. I still need to focus on the stuff for the novel along with the worldbuilding. I seriously need to make a writing related to-do list for the things I need to get done. I think I have one just got to play find-it.
Nothing else to report.
EDIT: I found my to-do list and I’ve written the things I need to do writing wise. I have ten writing related things I need to get done and hopefully before my little trip with my friend.

2k words of i-just-realized-this-character-is-neurodivergent later, I now have three chapters left to go before i’m prepped for nanowrimo on the wattpad front… now if i knew what my nano project was gonna be that’d be great.
also i bought a wireless keyboard even though i have a laptop with a perfectly fine keyboard attached and it might be helping productivity? i dunno, maybe i’m just trying to justify it but at any rate i like the clicky clacky a lot and it’s easier to work at this ungainly-sized counter when i can hold the keyboard in my lap. this thing was clearly meant to be standing-work height but if i try to type standing all night i’ll put my hips out because i’m a shrimp-shaped elderly person.

So music has been really helping me to write lately, but I need to find the right song for it to work… So, does anyone have any song recommendations for a scene that’s… Well the main couple split up for about 2 years, in the mean time she had a baby, and welp they’ve just seen each other for the first time in two years, had a very emotional reunion/ apology in the rain and now this chapter the dude is about to meet the girls mum and his daughter for the first time. It’s also like 10pm, and theyre soaking wet from the rain.
Also it isn’t until I’ve typed that out that I realise how terrible and maybe cliche but definitely terrible this actually sounds. Why is writing so embarassing

Outlined my end of my light hearted chick lit WIP. it’s going to be 25 chapters (unless I delete or add in one or two as I go along) Feels short, but chapter 19 and I’m 46,000 words in. Huh, weird. Whatever.
I wanted to be done by November with this one, so that’s looking hopeful! YAY
I’ve just figured my way of plotting/outlining is weird:
When I start a book, I never have a proper outline. Just know the overarching plot/themes and go with the flow. As I know I’m coming to the end, maybe the last 10 or so chapters, I will OUTLINE to hell. like:
Chapter 20: this happens, and then this character does this. The end the chapter with this.
Right until the end. But I can never work with proper outlines before the end. I’m so weird.
It works, though so I can’t knock it

I think maybe I should try your way! I’m quite similar in that I cannot have a proper outline, I need enough space to pants my way through, but then without at least a loose plan I dont know. Regardless I always get stuck around the middle so

oooh try it! I dont even know how or why I’m like it. I love to just write whatever comes to my head, and I usually know the basics of a chapter but I always just pants the content if you know what I mean XD
