I’m trying to figure out how to introduce new characters, but not make it too obvious that they might be captured soon or die soon. I want to somehow make them important to events that happen to Pinti even just a little bit. Trying to make sure they’re not throwaway characters too much.

I FOUND THIS THREAD! It’s been so long!
ONC novellas are finished for 2024, now I’m writing a sequel/part 2 of a book my publisher wanted cut in 2. Waiting for my edits for published book in Oct, and also a book I pitched to them they want sort of rewritten to be more mystery focused - just waiting for those notes so I can get started.
Also starting a different mystery book I dont know if I’ll pitch to them yet. I’m super into it, and loving writing it.
With everything crap over on Wattpad (again!) I’ve deleted a bunch of my books, especially after 2 got shadow banned and I just cannot be bothered anymore. Discoverability is a dud, HQ hate me anyway, trying to get readers is genuinely pulling teeth now because it’s either other writers crapping on you, or the readers can’t find you because HQ is pushing the next toxic mafia idiot in your face.
Decided nothing new is going up there for a long long time. I’ve got 13 stories up there now, instead of the 27-30 I did have a while ago. I think I’ve outgrown wattpad, but I feel like I have to keep it cause it’s good marketing for my book in Oct, plus I’m a mentor for BCM which I loooove doing. So I’ve stopped uploading books for now.
So I’m continuously write offline for a while. Which is weird because I’m so used to uploading to wattpad. It’s so strange! But I also kinda like the pace I set myself.
I made a personal writing discord two days ago as well, a sort of ‘my space’ for people to keep up to date with my work, also just to have writing sprints and chill/chat. I thought maybe 5 people would come in, but I’ve got over 30 people so far. I’m shocked and honestly honoured. Though I think a couple of people joined as soon as I said my husbands in there so they could be nosey lmao.
Got to go back to Project Succession at some point later today.
I took a break, but got to return.
Update: That never happened, but the world-building did.
I wrote a kissing scene in a public bathroom, and I’m no prude, but why not do it at home? 
They about to get real nasty by the toilet seats…

You could always get a tablet, and an S pen or some sorta pen and write on that.
True, but I rather type it out, and I don’t have tablet money even for a cheap one.
You can also use your phone too.
The only excuses I have for not using my phone is the screen size and when I write on it.
What I should be using is the Rocketbook notebook I got, but never went back to using. That is supposed to save me from using paper because I can use the app to upload my notes to Google Docs.

The paper is reusable and can be wiped with water and a hand towel. The Rocketbook comes in sticky notes, index cards and more.
The gripe is if I go back to the Rocketbook and continue, what should I do with the notebooks and other paper I have currently used and not used?
Keep the other paper for something else, repurpose it.
