Thank you! ![]()
Good news! I did the summary ![]()
my day was pretty bad before i wrote at home
a little, at work was crap but writing was nice
I did an excerpt from my writing in the smut dungeon
Writing vs our normal lives is a balancing act, as writing for most writers is a money pit; it’s not helping u pay bills, but is a bill as u have to pay for ur equipment like a laptop or other things unless you are making money
It feels weird not writing something. I guess I could hand write some short stories or practice writing some random scenes or something else.
I should utilize handwriting more.
its something i wish i could do more as I write faster or it feels faster than typing
im not writing today as its my writing day off, ill probably game around texting the wifey as its actually my day off from work
Editing and…
Here’s Bethany and pet cockatoo, Marcus.
“I’ll turn you into roast chicken”
The bird seemed to consider this for a moment, cocking his head side to side. He ruffled his feathers. “Now that would be a truly royal dinner.”
The same young, raspy voice. So, she didn’t imagine that?
“So, you can talk.”
Marcus shifted his feet and bobbed his head. “Has your mother ever told you about your father?”
She stared at what his beak just did. Her lips slowly curling in disgust. It was like a contortionist. Daffy Duck was better to look at.
Writing a novel by hand is a major game changer.
I am loving it.
Some updates!
Share: My ex swung by my apartment today to pick up his digital piano, which I had been keeping in my room for the past two years. In the middle of disassembling it, he went back to his car to put the music rack and cables in the backseat. When he returned, he gave me a present and said, “Happy graduation.” ![]()
It’s a copy of Ender’s Game. I really didn’t expect him to gift me something, especially since it’s been a year since we broke up. I haven’t read or watched it myself, but I have heard of it. Two of my friends said it was a good piece of media.
Add that to the list of books my ex has gifted me
though this would be the first novel he’s given after our relationship ended.
Progress: I’ve uploaded two chapters since my last update! Chapter XLVI and XLVII are both live on Wattpad.
My roommate hasn’t caught up to those yet, but she has caught up to XLIV. She didn’t expect some of the reveals I dropped
she felt so sad for my deuteragonist after reading what happened. I honestly can’t wait for her to read the part in the latest chapter where it’s revealed that the protagonist and the villain not only knew each other as children, but also grew up in the same house as the family of the deuteragonist’s late fiancé.
I’ll have to be careful with pacing things and deciding what, when, and how to drop different reveals and pieces of lore. I might have to change the original ending of Act II too.
After a few weeks of little progress, I’ve finished Chapter 22 and started 23!
I finished my prolouge and my fingers ache a bit from handwriting. ![]()
pluses and minuses
Proof copy of my first novella just came in the mail. It’s friggin adorable ![]()
So I decided on a whim to rewrite my post-apocalyptic poem about nihility and the world ending.
Yeah, yeah, very bleak ![]()
I quite like this part.
My skin hangs like rubber curtains and my ribs are embossed letters
spelling out in their wet ivory—hunger.
Oooh! Awesome! ![]()
Brilliant imagery! This is why AI will never replace human writers. Hopefully it’ll never get inventive enough to come up with stuff like that. (*^-‘) 乃
Still handwriting chapter one.
