Speaking of which, I also have an issue with the word itself. Because in Hinduism/Buddhism, reincarnation happens all the time with everyone, not just one special person. Avatar specifically means an incarnation of something, like ‘Avatar of Vishnu’ as in Vishnu himself taking the form of a human to interact with the world.
At least the blue people avatar actually does deliver on some of this. The Na’vi body is Jake’s avatar.

Nah man, people aren’t selling bootleg copies of the leaked movie of ATLA that Paramount+ wasn’t going to show in theaters.
Avatar: The World Warrior also gives me an excuse to school the creators on how nondualism actually functions. Too many people saw Star Wars and got the wrong idea about “balance” and “nonattatchment”.

Okay, now I’m interested in how exactly it’s portrayed in that, because I’ve seen the same thing in other places IRL too. Like just because desire is the root of all suffering doesn’t mean desire is bad, just that it’s something we should be aware of.
And same with dharma and adharma in Hinduism, but that’s another elephant.

Me and my gf the other day were gonna hang out in the city and shop but from the beginning I was like “huh? Why do we wanna shop, we don’t need anything!”
Meanwhile she’s just flouncing around looking at pretty dresses and slowly filling up the shooing basket (that I’M holding btw) with skincare and ~glittery body mist~

I’ve been attacked by it. It should be a war crime.
I don’t know how to express this, but I rarely feel strong emotions. No anger, no hatred, no excitement (okay, maybe excitement but less of it).
So that’s why I write stoic characters who have an emotional partner who must translate other people’s emotions to them.
I know women are confusing, I have a mother.
And it’s not like I wouldn’t date if I had the chance to, but my specification is very specific.

It’s more devestating if it happens in its country of origin. The person who leaked it got fired and potentially blacklisted from a major media corporation.
Worse yet is the absolute disrespect of the fans during the whole thing!
The DBS Broly movie got leaked on Pornhub but it still made money.

No writing today, just chilling at home.
Ah, I see. My main characters are generally stoic, and I used myself as a basis. This is what they look like:
- They rarely blink, and are generally very still and extremely stiff, almost like a statue.
- They have minimal facial expressions.
- Deadpan humour delivered without a grin or smile or anything.
For instance:
“I’ll stab you!” Lady Valyuk screamed, brandishing the blade.
“You won’t,” Lorian answered plainly.
Lady Valyuk’s eyes glowed palely, “you think I won’t? I’ll-”
“No, I mean, that’s a butter knife. That won’t do much,” Lorian reached for the steak knife, her voice still flat, “you should threaten me with this. This’ll look more convincing.”

That’s like a dad but female. I know they’re rare. Imagine the cruel stepmother from Cinderella but remove the step, and tone down the negativity by 60%.
