Tbh I get paid to sell books, any reading and reviewing on my own time is for free XD
How Joy?
I’m doing good XD just finished training some people, you?
Ohh nice! Joy the trainer!
I’m okay, I’ve slept a lot and went to paint & wine yesterday so I’m in painter mood still. xD
Ohhh ok haha
Nice!!! Did you paint anything exciting?
Ugh, I keep working nonstop and I had appointments on top of that x-x now I get to go to pride and be paid for it
Nothing exciting…
Awww rip
Ok so I’m reading The Atlas Six. And vaguely remember Joy read it? Or talked about it? Or I dreamt that?
And now I’m scrolling through Joy’s book review thread and came upon this gem:

THERE IT IS
… do you relate?
Have you read the rest of the series?
Yeah, I’m super bothered by the lack of worldbuilding.
Yes T-T
I have only read the second book and I’m going to read the third eventually. The lack of worldbuilding also bothers me. It’s fine if it isn’t in the first book since it’s introductory but like the second book failed worldbuilding which is a key factor to a good sequel which makes me go “oh no, wtf is going on”
Yeaah, I agree.
I am struggling to finish the third book because I have no clue what is going on anymore…
Yikes, I’m still going to read it for closure’s sake but like… man, I haven’t heard good things so far
