Going the route of Arbiter like from the Halo series? The Arbiter position was one of punishment.

What does the Arbiter do exactly? :sweat_smile: I watched the whole thing. I get that he’s punished somehow? Is he a good guy?

Carnifex is being punished for taking lives into his own hands and his punishment is the same—taking lives in his own hands, but one of such magnitude that it’s supposed to make him see his previous actions. And it has, over time. Also, there is always Carnifex. Like how there’s light and dark. His duty is also closer to the Grim Reaper.

He calls it his enjoyment because later on, he makes friends from other worlds :wink:

He’s humanity’s enemy until he rebels and joins us, so through quite a bit of Halo he is in the wrong because the aliens are trying to restart the halos and end life in the galaxy (not because they know the halos end life). They built a religion around a death machine that exists in multiple places throughout the galaxy.
