Titles of songs and musicals compositions in books

Hi,

It’s me again.

I was wondering how I would format the title of a song or musical composition in the prose of my book. For instance, Für Elise – would it be Für Elise, “Für Elise,” or something else?

There are formal rules to it:

But you’re not writing a thesis, you’re writing a novel. Basically the rules are “be consistent to your won writing”, and that’s about it.
