Uh, nope. It’s just that he’s an awkward mess—like me lol—who’s barely experienced in interacting with others. He’s just scared that she’s going to kick him out of her house or something worse.

There were rumors of him being bloodthirsty, but she dismissed them because he’s only acted like a soft snowflake around her. The only time when she found out was when he and his partner were fighting a beast, and she was watching over them from inside a post. One of them got hurt and bled, and then she darted out to save them. By the time she opened the front door to head into the battlefield, Edin’s curse was already taking over his body. He was maiming the beast even after he had killed it, and by the time he snapped out of his trance, she already used her light magic to summon a lasso and tie him up lol.

Then after that she was like “we have a lot to discuss once we get home”

Oh it is awkward. It’s gonna be even more awkward because she’ll find out that the curse is permanent, so they have to find a way to help him contain his urges. Her solution: have him kill small beasts (which are chained to poles) quickly, with his sword, and order him to not stab the bodies after they’re dead. Once he can control himself there, then he can move onto actually fighting. The first few sessions didn’t go so well she had to yell at him to stop

Even more awkward: on the day that Edin and his partner were supposed to be promoted, his partner got promoted to a higher rank, whereas he was “fired” but don’t worry he’ll go back to work, after he brings his urges under control.

I think images in general are a very natural form of storytelling. I mean, there were cave paintings, and some ancient writing systems—like hieroglyphics—are based on images of things.
