So true. For now because I donβt like seafood, it benefits the people sitting next to me when we go to a restaurant. When weβre served seafood they get my portion
one time we were eating at a teppanyaki restaurant for my birthday, and lobster and scallops were part of the set. Obviously, I gave my portion to the others. We even joked that they got the most out of it ![]()
Upsets can be quite interesting, especially if theyβre the top seed, but if too many of them happen they can be more frustrating and make for a boring tournament. I remember watching the womenβs RG final this year and it was a bit boring to be honest. Wimbledon, though, exceeded my expectations.
Ooooh, interesting. The earliest match I remember watching was Fedal, back when they still had a lot of hair. I donβt remember the first womenβs match Iβve ever watched. What I remember the most is cheering for Serena every time she played ![]()
Oh yeah, because you can only jab the torso, excluding the arms
maybe thatβs part of the joke. When I think foil, I think of two guys running down the piste, stopping, then jabbing, then running again. Thereβs a lot more running then sabre or Γ©pΓ©e if I remember.
Glad you think I pulled it off! You know my YouTube homepage was flooded with (sabre) fencing videos at one point
In the very first draft of Book Two I did include a fencing scene, but my research was based on that iCarly fencing scene. Then I took it down and then I rewrote it and I was like βnot gonna make the same mistake.β I even watched a fencing channel to get a feel of what the different fencing moves are and browsed the comments. Thatβs how I learned how often sabreurs screamed compared to other disciplines. Oooh, so thatβs what you mean by lack of strategy.
The excerpt on Wacky is the same one youβve read on my personal thread (when A found E), except with a few edits here and there
I donβt even know if Iβll be able to finish the first chapter by Thanksgiving. Glad youβre excited
whether itβs actually good or not, Iβm not sure. Iβll let you be the judge of that ![]()
I have a feeling that Iβve been writing in third omni the whole time when I was in school. I just didnβt know what it was called
And then I learned what head-hopping was, and then I thought βHave I been head-hopping?β
For me I donβt care what type of third person it isβomni, limited, multiple. I love all third person POVs equally and prefer them over first person for the most part
Thereβs just something about third person that sounds nicer to me. Maybe itβs because a lot of the bad fiction Iβve read on Wattpad is in first person (and Twilight was in first person and I couldnβt stand it) so it kind of left a sour taste in my mouth, but thatβs the writerβs fault and not the POVβs. There are some first person stories Iβve enjoyed too, and Iβve even written in first person. I just gravitate to third person whatever more because it feels more natural to me.
Thanks for saying Iβll do great! I hope Iβll meet your expectations. Letβs just hope that I donβt let a simple error slip past ![]()
also, check the Badge Hunters thread. I found a new NPC ![]()
