I don’t think you need actors to always be like the character they’re portraying; e.g. I don’t think actors need to be queer to play queer characters, and they don’t need to be autistic to play autistic characters.
Did you hear about the Helen Mirren drama?
I did.
I think it was unnecessary and overblown.
I don’t like children. I don’t want them, don’t enjoy being around them, and find them very irritating. Both pregnancy and parenthood just sound like complete nightmares.
I like reading WAY more than I do watching movies or videos (TikTok, YouTube, etc). I can’t just sit and watch videos without getting bored but I can read for hours.
Sorry I haven’t been active on this thread. I just didn’t know what opinions to share.
Anyway, here’s one: I don’t like Internet memes. I hate how I see them all the time, and how people communicate with them, and it doesn’t help if I already didn’t like it.
I can’t remember if I’ve said this before, but I don’t consider a writer traditionally published unless that writer’s been published by the Big Five or one of their subsidiaries: PRH, HC, S&S, Hachette, Macmillan, Little & Brown, Delacorte, Modern Library, Alfred Knopf, Hogarth, Doubleday, Harlequin, etc. etc. (♯^.^ღ)
I like centipedes
Do you feel you predate them? I mostly do. lol The modern generation likes to gatekeep them, when all they are is a format for saying something, like poetry forces the way you phrase things, and sometimes that doesn’t align with anything but the pattern and that tends to tick the younger ones off. The part I dislike most is explaining things to kids.
Maybe. I didn’t learn about memes until my teens, and didn’t really experience them until I started using Facebook (which was on my 18th birthday, btw).
