Iā€™m late to the party! > [@DollyTH](#): > > TELL US, WHATā€™S YOUR FAVORITE WACKY MEMORY OVER THE PAST 5 YEARS? Oh probably how well the Out of Context thread is doing. I love that thread. Itā€™s so much fun XD We all have a good time, donā€™t we? šŸ˜‰ Favorite Wacky memory as a wholeā€¦just having Wacky to come to as a safe, inviting place has been so awesome over the years. I canā€™t believe itā€™s already been five years. Itā€™s been amazing! šŸ„° > [@DollyTH](#): > > what projects have you worked on/completed over the past 5 years? šŸ‘€ I self-published both an e-book and paperback of Between Roses. The paperback has illustrations inside and looks awesome. 5 years is such a long time. Letā€™s see. I know I won NaNoWriMo a couple times, and finished the draft for the girl becomes rat story Iā€™m currently editing. I reviewed 60 books on IG (including todayā€™s!). I started a YouTube channel about writing and book-related things and made my first deep dive into Writerā€™s Digest not too long ago šŸ˜‰ Very interesting how Writerā€™s Digest say nothing about who their creator was on their website. Nothing particularly shady seemed to have happened. * * * > [@DollyTH](#): > > what were your favourite stories to write? which ones became so frustrating you have to shelve them I had to shelve Alive At Dawn for a while, and also LHSB. Iā€™m beginning to figure both of these out now though. Little by little, taking inspiration from the real world. > [@DollyTH](#): > > any writing milestones or competition wins youā€™d like to brag about? Let me say it again: self-published Between Roses! E-book on Oct. 23, 2024 (my birthday!) ![Between Roses ad 11](https://storage.wackywriters.com/original/3X/e/1/e144ead835588c7abc7147ba4a10f25ee4c7d427.jpeg) Paperback with illustrations and bonus content June 14, 2025 (MC Erynā€™s birthday) ![instablog 03](https://storage.wackywriters.com/original/3X/f/0/f0c878347459dd3daceb69db13612d9de8c5e66c.jpeg) Thanks to Wacky, I finally nailed down the darn blurb for Between Roses XD Happy Wackiversary! šŸŽ‰ ---

> [@alcoholandcaffeine](#): > > what projects have you worked on/completed over the past 5 years? The big one for about 3 years was my first novel (OSWAJS, or Sapphire Wings), then my second novel (THFAS, or Azurean Shadows) for the past 2 years. Iā€™ve done smaller projects between them of course, mostly drabbles, short stories, and an unfinished novella. > [@alcoholandcaffeine](#): > > what were your favourite stories to write? My first novel is very very rough, but it has a special place in my heart XD I got really attached to my twins and green dragon man Iā€™ve also enjoyed writing the second a lot! Marta is a wrecked mess but also a joy to write The short stories featuring my spider wizard were also a delight, and I miss her a bit ;-; > [@alcoholandcaffeine](#): > > which ones became so frustrating you have to shelve them? There was a short story and a novella that were shelved for different reasons. The short story one was about a girl who had been teleported to some sort of ā€œdreamworldā€, but I abandoned it after running out of ideas on how to continue it. The novella had a really fun witch protagonist, but it sadly taught me that I struggle writing two ā€œbigā€ projects at the same time and had to shelf it in favor of my first novel. I really really want to come back to it someday, maybe even expand it into a full novel! Donā€™t really have big accomplishments to brag about, other than the surprising amount Iā€™ve learned and written these past 5 years! Iā€™m not the fastest or most prolific writer, but its something thatā€™s made me happy to do in my spare time. ---

A favorite memory of mine is mentioning an existing work of fiction that I used in a fictitious way in my own work, and a response to it said, ā€œWhat XDā€. ---

Aww yā€™all, the replies to this made me tear up a little. šŸ„¹ > [@DollyTH](#): > > TELL US, WHATā€™S YOUR FAVORITE WACKY MEMORY OVER THE PAST 5 YEARS? Iā€™ll take this opportunity to also give a shoutout to all the [@moderators](https://forum.wackywriters.com/groups/moderators) and [@mini-mods](https://forum.wackywriters.com/groups/mini-mods) who have continued to pour their time and energy into loving this place and keeping it afloatā€“I canā€™t think of many online communities who have the kind of fantastic team we do here that have continued to be such active members (and as volunteers, no less!), and Iā€™m infinitely grateful to all of you for not just partaking in this journey, but for the honor of getting to know each and every one of you.
