Oh probably how well the Out of Context thread is doing. I love that thread. It’s so much fun XD We all have a good time, don’t we? Favorite Wacky memory as a whole…just having Wacky to come to as a safe, inviting place has been so awesome over the years. I can’t believe it’s already been five years. It’s been amazing!

what projects have you worked on/completed over the past 5 years?

I self-published both an e-book and paperback of Between Roses. The paperback has illustrations inside and looks awesome.

5 years is such a long time. Let’s see. I know I won NaNoWriMo a couple times, and finished the draft for the girl becomes rat story I’m currently editing. I reviewed 60 books on IG (including today’s!).

I started a YouTube channel about writing and book-related things and made my first deep dive into Writer’s Digest not too long ago Very interesting how Writer’s Digest say nothing about who their creator was on their website. Nothing particularly shady seemed to have happened.

what were your favourite stories to write? which ones became so frustrating you have to shelve them

I had to shelve Alive At Dawn for a while, and also LHSB. I’m beginning to figure both of these out now though. Little by little, taking inspiration from the real world.

The big one for about 3 years was my first novel (OSWAJS, or Sapphire Wings), then my second novel (THFAS, or Azurean Shadows) for the past 2 years. I’ve done smaller projects between them of course, mostly drabbles, short stories, and an unfinished novella.

My first novel is very very rough, but it has a special place in my heart XD I got really attached to my twins and green dragon man

I’ve also enjoyed writing the second a lot! Marta is a wrecked mess but also a joy to write

The short stories featuring my spider wizard were also a delight, and I miss her a bit ;-;

The novella had a really fun witch protagonist, but it sadly taught me that I struggle writing two “big” projects at the same time and had to shelf it in favor of my first novel. I really really want to come back to it someday, maybe even expand it into a full novel!

Don’t really have big accomplishments to brag about, other than the surprising amount I’ve learned and written these past 5 years! I’m not the fastest or most prolific writer, but its something that’s made me happy to do in my spare time.

Just having the wonderful souls who have continued coming back and hanging out with us for five years has been such a huge, wonderful thing. We wouldn’t be here without y’all sticking with us and we love you all!

I’ll take this opportunity to also give a shoutout to all the @moderators and @mini-mods who have continued to pour their time and energy into loving this place and keeping it afloat–I can’t think of many online communities who have the kind of fantastic team we do here that have continued to be such active members (and as volunteers, no less!), and I’m infinitely grateful to all of you for not just partaking in this journey, but for the honor of getting to know each and every one of you.
