Wow Good luck!
Here are my goals!
I do this every year on IG. This is the year of editing and finishing a bunch of stuff. The first one is an easy goal because I know I’m going to release the print version of my book in March. I had to put one easy-to-reach goal
Go on holiday. It’s the start of the year and I already need a holiday. Multiple holidays. Yup yup
Thanks, I’ve published one, two more are finished and waiting for me to have a month where I need a break, and the second is a WIP. Third is longer-running and serialised first
These are some very good goals! Good luck.
I totally feel that. Doesn’t help that this wolf moon situation is toying with my mojo
Thank you!
Another goal is to look heavily into traditional publishing, much later for this year and some time next year.
I can only hope that my writing and reading skills are a bit better for my own sake.
It is almost the end of January, and I come here to update you all on my goals. Feel free to chime in with your progress too!
I don’t know how much weight I’ve lost. I’ve been working out and restricting calorie intake. I have to weigh in on Monday…
Books wise, I’ve now published two out of twelve, but I am increasing my goal to 20. This is for a few reasons. First of all, the short stories I’m working on can be done in 3 days. If I have NOTHING else to do, I can turn around 2 in a week, probably more if I stop procrastinating. Unfortunately, that’s never really gonna happen - so I’m tearing apart one of my full-length works and turning it into a trilogy, which will have accompanying short works.
My experiment on the books front is exceeding expectations, and I’m making more $$ than I expected (still, not a lot. But I’m so pleased!).
For being consistent… well, I’m trying. Lol. It isn’t perfect, but I am trying.
I found an apartment and filled out the application and everything else.
Now, I have to play the waiting game a bit to know if I got the apartment I want.
Writing wise, I am working on Project Chaos, put Project Magecraft on a long-ish hiatus, and I’m starting Project Glorious when I jot down what it’s going to be about.
I don’t have anything else to say other than January 28 is when I see a neurologist to get a proper diagnosis on if I genuinely have AuDHD. I know I have it for sure, I just want a professional diagnosis.
That’s it!
That is excellent progress! I’m glad you’re figuring out the apartment and your writing projects. That’s really awesome. Good luck on your neuro appointment too!
Thanks.
I’ve lost a few pounds, mostly by exercising in bed at night (not what you think! I meant leg lifts, scissor kicks and the like. (>‿◠) )
It doesn’t hurt that Trump’s made me lose my appetite just watching all the racist, sexist, anti-trans, anti-health, and anti-allies shit he’s done this week. I never thought anyone could do so many dangerous, stupid things in so short a time!
But as far as reading or writing, I haven’t been able to concentrate–possibly because of all the dangerous, stupid things Trump’s done. Really need to cut myself off from the news, but it’s like a train wreck I can’t turn away from. And now some moron’s suggesting a rewrite to the Constitution so Trump can serve another term…? Argh! ヘ( ´Д`)ノ
Oh congrats on losing some pounds! I’ve tried following my fitbits advice RE my cardio load but so far all it’s resulted in is me doing absolutely nothing for the past five days whilst it freaked out about a 40 min spin session… for five days. <.< Today it’s suddenly telling me I’m undertraining. What does it want from me?!
I’m sorry to hear that you’re dealing with all of that. I seem to not be able to escape it here in the UK either. Trump this, Trump that. Eughhhh.
Another huge goal for 2025 that will last for some years after that, maybe a little over five years is to work on Project Glorious.
Project Glorious is a combination of Project Bloodline, Project Succession, and hints of other projects. Though the main focus is Project Bloodline and Project Succession.
It’s my way of turning my novel into a lengthy television series just in a novel format.
The inspirations I am using are One Piece, Tower of God, The Wheel of Time, A Song of Ice and Fire, Hunter x Hunter, and Stormlight Archive. In terms of the world-building, magic system, many characters, expanding plot, heavy lore, and more.
I am only going to focus on the two stories Project Chaos and Project Glorious. I will return to Project Magecraft later.
That is all I have to say.
