2025 Goals

Hi everyone! I don’t tend to make my own threads, but I was curious to what everyone’s goals were for 2025? I’ve been figuring mine out and so far I’ve got:

  1. Lose weight (I do have a specific number but I don’t feel comfortable sharing)
  2. Publish 12 books in the next 12 months. Lofty goal.
  3. Actually be more consistent (aka, kick my ADHD into submission the best I can)

Does anyone else have writing-related goals? I’m doing a year of writing wherein I try to write every single day… wish me luck

12 books in 12 months?! Omg talk about rapid release! Good luck with that, and I sure hope you can do it. The only way I could do that would be to write all the books first, and then release them one by one after I finish the series…but that’s kind of my plan.

I too want to lose some weight, but I’m hoping just going to the gym more will accomplish that. My mom and I are doing it together, and it seems to help to have a friend and turn it into a social thing. ¯\_(ﭢ)_/¯

As for writing goals, I’d like to finish my current wip in 2025. But mostly I want to read more. I’m planning to do the Goodreads challenge again, and I want to read all the books I bought on my Kindle. My goal is to not buy any more books until I read the ones I’ve already purchased, but that means I have to read over 200 books before I can ever buy a new one. (♯^.^ღ)

I don’t like making goals for the new year because life and myself are unpredictable.

Yet these are things I want to continue on doing and working on even in 2025.

  1. Writing as much and as many Alagossia-verse stories I can, whether stand alone or series.
  2. Continue the momentum going with reading fiction, along with engaging in some appealing non-fiction too.
  3. Start working to improve myself both mental and physically.
  4. Doing my damnedest to love myself regardless of how the world goes against me/Be kinder and more considerate, along with accepting with dealing with autism/adhd.
  5. Get out a little more, through short works and/or Uber.

12 was my goal yesterday. It’s since been upped as I have a new plan of action that should, in theory, let me go much higher than 12. Here’s to hoping it works out :s

Good luck with the gym!

That is a lot of books!!! You can do it!

Sooo true. Most of my goals are very much based around the fact I want to do things every single day - if I write every day for example, it stands to reason I can get out over 12 books

Those are some very good goals! Good luck!

Thank, also publishing 12 books in 12 months is a lofty goal indeed but good luck btw.

Yeah, being sick and then Christmas has knocked my sleep schedule all over the place lol. I need to especially work on that. That is my most realistic goal. :joy:

  1. Don’t end up in a wheelchair
  2. Don’t get more disabled (boy did that NOT go to plan this year :joy:)
  3. Enjoy the planned international trip (very excited heehee)
  4. Finish writing QOD
  5. Publish planned books
  6. See who else is interested in selling my books (I’ve found some local places)

And a goal for 2025 itself: RAIN DAMMIT IT’S BEEN TWO YEARS AHHHHHHH

Those are some very good goals! I too am trying not to get more disabled. I’m trying to exercise daily and I’m gonna get a walking pad to work on my heart condition a bit, will it help? Probably not. But I will try, darn it.

Good luck finding more places to stock your book! That’s awesome

I recommended dancing as exercise, if you aren’t afraid of dancing in front of other people.

Oooh yes, dancing is good! I don’t have a car so I couldn’t go clubbing or anything, but I often dance around the house. (*^-‘) 乃

The main goal is to put off the wheelchair as long as possible tbh :joy: And yes, trying is the best thing!

Thanks heehee

All the best to your endeavours, my dear!

For me, it would be simply to survive all the renewed and revised fuckery that 2025 will lovingly throw upon me…

And to focus on my writing a bit more in-between the battles of what the year will utterly cast in my wake to both discourage and kill me with…

And I wish you a Happy New Year indeed, and all the best!

Much luck with your writing goals this year!

As for me… so far I’ve got:

  • Graduate and get a license to practice in my field
  • Continue writing my main WIP (maybe even finish it) and begin posting to WP
  • Keep a consistent exercise schedule
  • Participate in the ONC if any prompts catch my eye
  • Read at least 5 novels
  • Complete at least 2 crochet projects

Some very nice goals! I have a goal to buy a couple things this year. I have to get my PC out of the way first and then I can get a walking pad (reward for losing 20lb), and an iPad with an Apple Pencil (reward for publishing three books). We got this!

You got this!!! Good luck with all of your goals, you will definitely get your license!

I am aiming to read 5 self-improvement books this year. First one is nearly finished, but I started last year - Atomic Habits.
