Yearly Goals for 2026

I did this last year (over here), and it was really nice looking back to see how far I got. I did a check-in mid-way through the year, too, and so long as I don’t forget, I’ll do it again this year too. Share your goals, and feel free to update us on your progress as the year passes by - it’ll be great to see how we’re all faring!

  1. Lose weight (take 2)
  2. Publish 20 books (uh, take 2)
  3. Launch my courses for Scrivener

I think that’s it for me right now. I might add to it, but not sure. Can’t wait to hear what everyone else is going to tackle!

Happy New Year!

Good goals Akhe! 100 books is a lot, but you can do it!

I just put together a workout menu of sorts for myself. I can just tick off the 2 exercises from each section I chose to do, and tick off all my hydration/health stuff at the same time.

Very good goals! Real Life Shit tends to derail us at the worst of times, lol. I hope you succeed with everything you want to!

Awesome goals! 3 books is awesome - rooting for you!!!

Don’t worry, I am reapplying for disability this year, too. I can’t go outside or walk but last time they said I was “completely healthy”. Yeah, so healthy I can’t walk into a hospital or GP surgery without at least one member of staff milling about begging me to go to urgent care. I am peak physical fitness, lol.

Thank you very much.

I’d… just want to exist, and keep existing. That would be enough to be honest. It’s hard enough to do that in the modern world lol

ohhh lemme try my hand at this. figured that adding some footnotes to the things i would like to do may help me flesh it out more in my head, in terms of the why:

  1. Create a ‘moments’ compilation for revisiting at the end-of-the-year.
serves as an exercise in remaining grounded and also for me to see just how much i’ve done in the span of twelve months. a way of this would be to jot down a sentence of some sort daily (short and sweet) or to just record a moment of a day everyday (six-mins of video by the end of it), but i don’t tend to use my phone/camera all that much so writing is easier. (actually already wrote one up in my notebook!)
  2. Socialise more!
i’ve been an introvert through-and-through all my life, but considering my current uni folks and their culture, i’ve become extroverted to make up for their keeping mum otherwise. (×_×) i’m happy to blame the faculty of course (other faculties are otherwise superb in terms of social life) but i’ll do what i can.
  3. Start internship scouring.
considering my degree, i’d like to do labwork, and specifically in an academic setting, but overseas. my actual intern date is pushed back (doing so fits better for my overall programme structure), so i have about a year to actively screen/shortlist my options and gather the necessary info (funding, scholarships, durations, etc.) before i reach out to the institutions and finalise it with my faculty board.

i’ve actually got a ton more, but they’re specific and there’s things in my culture about speaking about what you want to achieve and having it not happen lol, so i’ll check in year-end to see if they worked out (including the above list ofc)!

all the very best to everyone else for your goals, too! may you all achieve them. <( ̄︶ ̄)>

my fingers crossed for you! i saw you hit your original goal of twelve for last year (prior), so i’m sure you’ll manage for this year!

this actually sounds like fun if you manage to get all stories you enjoy reading heh

ahhh all the best!

‘do more shit’ is so relatable XD

it’s a fun thing to do for sure!

I have this one project I’d love to share around when it’s finished. Getting it finished is the hard part, of course.

I found my post from the 2025 thread and unfortunately I haven’t accomplished any of those :sob: so I guess to make things a little easier, my 2026 goals will be to:

  1. Finish Act II of Blood Will Tell (same as last year, I know :see_no_evil: I’m almost done though, I promise!)
  2. Upload at least one new chapter of The Forgotten Kingdom of Draconyn
  3. Be better at attending church, and potentially join a Catholic young adult group (because making friends after college is hard :sob:)

I would include “get a full-time job” under those goals but I don’t want to jinx myself :sob: especially with how critical my situation is, visas and all

Oh, and not necessarily a goal, but the US is one of the three host countries for the World Cup this year and I desperately want to go to a game! Especially with a few of my friends.

Me too, if I ever get money. I’d even go to Canada, or Mexico if that was easier. Mexico doesn’t require a Visa for a visit, US has E-Visa and I think Canada’s okay?

I could visit my cousin in SoCal too. She’d let me stay in her spare room. But I’m wary about entering America and Visas etc :joy:

I love the idea of check-ins it really does make progress visible over time.
Those are ambitious goals especially the course, so wishing you a focused and rewarding year ahead!

These are some very good goals!! The moments thing sounds really amazing. Sometimes I wish I did something like that, but I think I’ll just keep using my planner :')

Good luck with everything you want to achieve!
