I need to make a small list on what to do for Alagossia in terms of world-building, yet I do need to make a small list for Project Succession in terms of characters and story.
I need to know my characters…enough.
I love my story Project Succession so freaking much! Also, I may, just may revisit Red Reign again. I don’t know when, but I seriously need to be in the right head-space.
I might have a different approach to Jorildyn’s story…maybe.
I am working on another project but will be back to Jose. I have more ideas for the plot etc., for the new project. I also need to work on a schedule but I will also get back to that.
I think having Aeris become an empress was too forced. I need to change that for the other edits, because she barely experienced life as a princess and did much as a Knight on an assignment before that. I thrust her into the role of empress too fast, regardless of her being the one to summon Saint Mal’gel.
It is bothering me I went into that too quickly, yet I don’t want to change it now since I am working on finishing this draft.
Things are going pretty good so far! So happy its Saturday finally!
I’ve decided to skip ahead to one of my major plot points just so I could really get started. The beginning two chapters are really killing me because I just don’t know how to execute them. I know there’s always draft two but ah. Anyway, got a solid 4k words and a routine started.
I want to finish the scene I’ve been working on. Which may be ambitious because a lot of things need to happen still. I’m also right on the cusp of the character I’m most excited for showing up and I think it’ll be enough for me to put a pretty big dent in it.
I actually got back into daily writing! And I wake up feeling super excited!
Staying focused while writing and accepting that I’m out of practice and things are just going to sound bad until I edit…so i’m allowed to just move on.
In the terms of the story? If it is the story, I am on chapter 3, part 3 (chapter 13) of Project Succession.
I have none other than just writing when I feel like it.
Start Project Mage.
I got back to chapter 3, part 2 (chapter 12) of Project, but I got to it. Though chapter 2, part 1 was tough and lacked sense, so that was a bit hard. Trying to start Project Pillar is a challenge too, because I don’t know how to start it exactly.
Breaks are important! Yeah, my weekend has been officially tossed up so I will probably be stuck doing important stuff now. What kind of ice cream cake? I will be completely honest, I am surrounded by great places that do ice cream cakes for yu that i’m sure are great. I still get the store ones with the crunchy bits and the slightly concerning frosting. That I can never decide on if its sweet cool whip or if its some radioactive thing I shouldn’t be eating.
Ik that feeling well. I’m headed there, this morning has been kind of wild.
In general or the story up to you.
Solid goal
I’m going to be honest, I have always been amazed and confused by people who work on multiple projects at once. Its wild to me. I’m kinda in over my head with one lol.
Honestly, it can be a problem for me, because I am very focused on Project Succession, but I can try, just try to make room for another project or two when I am in the proper head-space for it. If I am not, then my main and only concern is Project Succession.
I am like you though. I am envious and in awe over the fact that people can work on many story projects. Like that is some serious multitasking and yet you are never truly bored, I suppose.
Lifestyle: Same shit, different day.
Creative Writing: I am getting further into Project Succession, I did half a chapter of Project Mage and I am pondering about Project Pillar.
I’m doing alright, just been working very hard on school and getting the house clean. Unfortunately, I haven’t done any writing based around my book at all really this week.
I’m still trying to get at least one more beta reader for my book to give me feed back. I haven’t heard back from the people that said they would read it. Which, sadly, is something I’m getting used to. It’s so frustrating to have people get my hopes up and then they either never actually read it or never give me any feedback about it, which is the whole point. So, I’m gonna look around for another beta reader this coming week.
Not related to my book, but I do online text based role play with my characters just to help develop them and for fun. This week I came up with a new character and put him in some scenarios through RP to get to know him. I’m liking him so far and think I have a perfect role for him to fill in the next book in the series I’m writing.
Hardest thing I’ve done this week isn’t writing related. It’s just been trying to get the house spottless.
Frig all. Nothing much, really. I got distracted by other characters and went from Jose, to Eagle, to Hollywood (yeah, that’s his name) and then Juan and Igor Three different stories, I need a stickability, and an aim.
-What are your goals for the weekend and/or next week?
TO PICK A STORY AND STICK TO IT. (Need help with this one, lol).
Heck yeah, sounds like a pretty good week to me. I’m sorry about the beta readers.
I’ve heard that’s a pretty common theme for a lot of people. I was asked to read some stuff for a coworker a few months back. Just a few chapters from his project he’s been working on. I was super worried because it took me about a month to finally fit it in and get back to him. Turns out, that out of all the people he had asked I’m the only one who actually went through with it. I wish I had more time because I’d love to help, I’m just not sure I’d be able to get to it any time in the near future. I wish you the best of luck.
I’ve always been too scared to try RP characters. Like I’m not really sure how it works? I’ve heard it’s pretty helpful for a lot of people though.
Cleaning freaking suckssss but it’s so satisfying when its done! Any special occasion for it or just something you needed to get done?
You’ve got this! I believe in you! Maybe try setting a designated time to work on one thing before you move on the next or something like that. Just to push you to stick a little longer? I have this hectic doc where i just throw ideas i have but know i need to come back to later. I have over a page of just random dialogue i need to make work into stuff lol.
