Hi! You could name it something other than regulars if you’d want and it’d have to be an opt in thing for the people you have in mind. You would have to be the “mod” of that group too if you want it. Sound good?

Hi! I just wanted to clarify: what are the rules for tagging mods? Apologies if this is in the code of conduct already. I don’t remember seeing it when I read it. If I’m wrong please point me in the correct direction.

It depends what you need the mod for. We’re also users on Wacky, so you tag us the same way you would any other user. And just like any other user, we’ll get to it when we get to it 
If you need help in private you can also message @/moderators, it’s an inbox we all have access to and that way, whichever mod is around will be able to help you. I think you can also tag @/moderators but I wouldn’t recommend it because it can create a lot of spam to all of us.

This might not be possible at all, but, sometimes there’s a lot of spam accounts posting here solely for SEO purposes (easy to spot with the anchor text they choose to use). Ofc I don’t think there’s anything wrong with using SEO tricks here overall but the spam accounts have no intentions to actually engage with the community, and their services are potentially straight up scams. I wonder if it would be possible to block adding URLs on brand new accounts (account age or post count) or make it manually approved? The SEO thing is literally adding a link to text that’s like… “the best book writing apps” or something, so maybe it could even be just blocking URLs that are behind text? Things might still slip through but it could cut down on those manually doing it vs using a script/bots to bulk post.

I am pretty sure something’s like that is already in place, I know that legit new users used to often have trouble sharing links… and some potentially spam posts from brand new users used to get autoflagged for manual validation. I thinkthose safeguards are still in place, but I will double check.
Keep reporting them when you see them tho, they’re all getting the ban hammer

I think it’s technically possible but it’s a huge strain on the system and would leave big gaps in conversations, so usually we prefer to anonymize.
