Do you still use Discord I can invite you to another server. There is less people but it’s more tight-knit if you like and we often have writing sprints ^-^

I received a pleasant email from Pixiv to say that I was one of the lottery-pick winners for a writing prompt I had entered into on their site.
From the count of entries against the prompt contest tag, there were 441 entries. I was one of the short-list entries picked to win. There were 21 winning picks. I think. I’m not sure of the judging process.
Either way, if it was random luck of the draw or being short listed then random pick to win. I still see it as a small win.

I am nearly finished with a full restoration of a 1972 chevy C10 pickup. All the rust is gone and it runs drives and stops now. A few more months work and I’ll have it on the road.

Finished editing 1-3 of my wip!
Finally figured out how to make MC 12 years old, but not make the first three chapters middle grade.
Now that’s cleared up, the rest wouldn’t be so bad…I hope.

This is bitter-sweet. In July 2018 I started posting Crimson Qi on Wattpad. It was called Noblesse Oblige, had a terrible cover and I entered it into Watty with, like, 5 chapters. Because back then, you could and i didn’t even know what Watty was.
I thought it was an awesome fantasy book and would be a hit.
Over these 3 years, the book got featured once (though not on Editor’s Picks, but on one of Wattpad’s former lists) after I re-entered it in 2019 with the completed book, lol. My wonderful friends in AsianFantasy featured it as well on their reading list. And, yes, I finished it, along with its sequel. For some reason, it also once in a while gets into 50 to 70 ranking in Fantasy and Adventure once in a while. I’ve tried posting it on WebNovel and RoyalRoad too and it was just as summarily ignored there, heh.
Today, it finally crawled over 40K reads. Like, literally, it’s at 40,001 reads, and will probably sit at that for like a week. People kinda ninja read a few chapters, add them to a list. Nobody ever likes any chapters or comments any more.
Oh, well. A school of hard knocks, for sure and I still feel a bit of warmth toward that old flawed book that creeps along.

I’m officially done with my gay CEO romance.
I set it to paperback release on Amazon today. Aside from the final feedback they may give me regarding print quality, I can officially walk away from the story and not look back, ever again.
Now to my Cannon Fodder story, which I aim to do the impossible for me and finish start-to-end by the end of this year.
