Just asked because it can affect muscular men too (not just fat people) But yeah fair enough. 500lb can be free from it too. I’m sure some of my characters have sleep apnoea but that’s only because they’re big.

My version of Mars is more lively than IRL Mars. There’s a sea up in the north (IRL Borealis Basin), and along its sides you have mangrove swamps, salt marshes, estuaries, and even some rainforests and woodlands, but the further inland you get, the harsher it gets, until all you see are semi-deserts, steppes and cold deserts. The south is entirely a desert, though a cold desert that looks more like the Gobi. There are some sand dunes here and there, but most of it is bare rock.
The Martian air is very thin compared to Earth air, even at sea level. It’s breathable, but it’s difficult to breathe. So safe to say, they didn’t like it there, though they did have to go there on a mission, fighting demons.
And oh, Mars is full of sanstone ruins, featuring tall obelisks and lofty citadels, all carved with hieroglyphs, and there are some portals there, which are how peopel from Earth get to Mars. There’s some evidence that Mars was once full of life, but something happened that caused all life to go extinct, save for in the north.
I’m very stiff, tall (by Indian standards), and rarely blink. And online I rely more on logic than emotions, so most people have never seen me angry. So I scare people IRL and online. But I guess the overwhelming part is also true. I might talk a bit like a chatbot.
Hmmm… I’d say just passing with a distinction in third year… (over half my class failed this year because of missed assignment deadlines )

I remember the contests back when they were a thing on Wacky, and submitting to them. And I also remember getting SO MAD that I never won anything…
Like really. It’s not because I was a sore loser, I just didn’t understand what I did wrong and why it wasn’t me who was chosen (despite me really liking my own work.) in my eyes, I had put the same amount of effort as everyone else, but I didn’t win. And I knew I was good at what I did, so I didn’t understand why it was bad to other ppl (bc back then I thought that if you lost, it HAD to be bc your work was bad).
I know now that in reality, I might have put the same effort, ormore, or less of it, but that wasn’t really the problem. I re-read my old submission a bit ago and I think it was because… well. I had no clue what a short story was I submitted prose poetry thinking that it qualifies.
And what I thought about it was true! It was rly good :)) it was just kinda like… submitting a croissant to a cake-making contest. It’s still sweet and tastes good… it’s just not cake
And now I’m trying to find a place for my poetry and I think it’s the same. Like, I write things that no one wants to talk about. that’s the point. BUT THE POINT IS THAT NO ONE WANTS TO TALK ABOUT IT

If you really want your poetry out there I suggest your local open mics/ poetry nights/ poetry groups/ community theatre. Make chapbooks or zines for cheap, sell/exchange them. Online sites aren’t really great for sharing poetry… maybe substack/ insta/ tumblr. Look for magazine submissions, they are always open.
I mean they are human, but more like human+. Their bodies are better adapted, so they’re taller, stronger, faster, live longer, can gain more nutrition from eating less food, and so on. But they are sitll human so they get angry and irrational like normal people (though it’s a bit different for them since they live very long, so they have more experience). Vareth (the guy I described) is around 700 years old.
Lovely? It’s a hellscape. I’ve never been to California but I assume anywhere in the USA is a bad place, so probably not as bad. So yeah, like that, but with fewer selfish people, fewer cars, less terrible architecture and less guns.
The air is thin, but not completely unbreathable. Like you can survive without a spacesuit, but you’ll be in trouble if you run for a few minutes. So it’s like being high up in the mountains. Around the sea, it’s still manageable, but the further south you go, the drier and colder it gets, until all you see are canyons, caves, some dunes, massive mountains and ravines, a lot of barren rock everywhere. Water does exist in the lowest points of the planet, typically at the bottom of deep ravines or craters (fun fact: that also happens IRL!)
One animal that does survive, though, are llamas. They’re so abundant, it’s actually a problem. It’s cold, the air is thin, only the hardiest of grasses and succulents can survive, and then you have these animals just wandering around. This actually fits because camelids are pretty hardy.
As for the hieroglyphs, I haven’t designed that part yet, but I’m thinking they are partially decipherable, using earth analogues. My world has this theme that you have great empires that rule the world (or multiple worlds) for hundreds or thousands of years, and then vanish without a trace, leaving behind only only the barest relics of their age. The motto is “the earth is littered with ruins of empires that thought themselves immortal”.
Oh, nice! Then I think you might be scary. What’s your height, weight and musculature? That might contribute to it.
I think I already do. I keep telling people to use AI as their second brain, and no one relates to me. I’m wondering why, and now I’m thinking it might be because my brain works differently, so when I get AI, I’m able to naturally incorporate it into my workflow.
I like that the previous page has impressions of things like K-Map and binary data. It’s not clear enough for me to grade, but I think I can if I see it myself.
