There’s always those OVAs with One Piece and Dragon Ball Z and Toriko in anime.

Hoid from the Cosmere and Kelsier from the Mistborn series(also in the Cosmere universe). Brandon Sanderson puts cameos and secrets in almost every book he writes, and it’s hidden so well you barely notice them without reading a second time. I highly recommend you go check out his books if you haven’t yet
