Thank you! Hopeful to break out of the hospital today. The 24 hour minimum seems ridiculous and im so ready to just get home to my momma and my baby.
I’m hoping to get the first chapters out this month. I’m working on the magic system right now and getting some basics out before writing out the full plot. Or basic plot line. Once that’s done, I’ll be working on the chapter summaries and basically get the basic world building out of the way to really build on that while writing.

Basically, I have written out the relationship in a summary. I’m going to be writing out the plot, soon. Once that’s done, I can finally write out the chapter summaries and FINALLY start writing!

I finally got through Gothikana. It was kind of okay, more okay toward the end, the smut was okay, but good god I had such a hard time to get into it!
I read the 300k work Manacled in 3 days. I read Gothikana 100k in a month. Can’t pinpoint why exactly, but I wasn’t into the MCs, even if they were interesting.
Anyway, I won’t spoiled anything, but let say that I won’t read it again
I’m going to go back to The right things to do probably next week - I started it but it feel between cracks with my gallbladder saga.
And I discovered a web site for us poor Canadian over prices booklover - bookoutlet.ca and I ordered 6 books for 60$! (Fourth wing - The Cruel Prince and The things we leave unfinished - as some of them)
They don’t have everything all the time, so you need to go quite often, but they are interesting one!

Umm helooooo Canadian friend!- I feel like I knew that and somehow forgot. lol I have been going to the book outlet way back when they actually had a store and you could fill trash bags worth of books lol. But also LOVE them! I feel like they have better books on the online store anyway and I shouldn’t … but I definatly shop there more than I should haha. And I will try to finish Gothicana… after my laundry list of other TBR’s lol. But- and not sure if anyone else goes through this- every time I sit down to read I have writers guilt. Like if I’m reading I could be using that time to write. Anyone else experience this?

Yes. Sometimes in reverse though. Because I do devote time every day to writing, sometimes I feel bad for not reading the millions of books that I’ve bought. They stare at me accusingly from the bookshelf while I write lol.
Lol, same! ‘‘I’m wasting time reading someone else story while I could write my own!’’
I didn’t read for more than 2 years, too focused on writing endlessly. But then, when I started, it kind of ‘‘refreshed’’ my mind, and I discoverd things that I like and disliked in books that I could applied in my own narrative.
For example, in Gothikana. The back bone of the story is interesting, but I had a hard time to understand why I was not getting into it. The setting was good, the smut and sex scene were steamy, Mr Deverell said a lot of thing that were 
, Cornelia background was interesting…
And I think I find it why. The way the sentences are structured. They are mostly all in three or more parts.
For example (I’m too lazy to go grab the book and found a real example lol) :
‘‘He went to grab a bottle of shampoo, even if he was exhausted and the end of his rope because he wanted to please her, to love her and to let her feel like the queen she deserve to be.’’
Ok my example is shitty, but a huge part of her sentences are like this, and I found that the reading was heavy because of it. One here and there are fine, but not all of them, or most of them.
It made me re-read all my 12 chapters just to be sure I don’t have some sentences like that

Got nothing done this week. I was busy getting everything wrapped up at my old job and getting ready for the new start tomorrow. Hopefully this week is more productive. I did get back the edits from the editor I hired for Smear and so far they are so helpful. Well invested money.

I did not get on my computer for the whole week. We are DYING over here. From giving birth to having two good days, to getting a bad head cold that wiped me out and then getting the stomach flu, I just cant seem to catch up and catch a break.
